Boys in martial arts?

Last night in taekwondo during sparring I accidentally kicked a boy between the legs. Being a girl I always learned that if you kick a boy there he will fall in pain. Why didn't he?

I'm worried because if I'm being attacked and it doesn't hurt him there what do I do?

There is much, much more to it then you think. First it is a major nerve center, but there are ways to defend it, even a little bit off can mitigate the pain, he might also have been wearing a cup, he might have a high pain tolerance, etc. There are no "guaranteed" spots on the human body for a quick end to combat. There are certainly vulnerable locations, and with proper training you can increase the likelihood of a takedown but guarantee, no none.

didn't hit it hard enough? I've gotten hit sometimes and it didn't drop me either. It hurt like hell though

Could’ve been you didn’t directly hit, could be his nuts weren’t dangling all the way down, could be you hit something else or he was wearing a jockstrap cup.

If you are being attacked by an asshole don’t worry a kick, knee, punch, etc. to the testicles will knock em down. Once they fall down / let go, run like Hell and scream at top of your lungs.
