How to differentiate betweem somebody who's having mental illness and demonically possessed?

I mean they have similar symptoms, right? They both have illusions, abnormal behaviours and everything? And would a neurologist recognise the difference? Is there any slight difference betweem them?

A neurologist would not acknowledge demonic possession as a reality because it has no basis in science and there is no credible evidence of it that has been scientifically tested under controlled conditions.

That aside, the traits that people display in supposed demonic possessions are quite different to those of most mental illnesses, perhaps with the only exception of extreme paranoid schizophrenia and it would have to be very extreme.

Yes i know science believe that there are no such things but they exist and it was mentioned in all heavenly religions. How different are they?

Mental illness does not usually involve making demonic sounds, levitating from beds, contorting your body or speaking in Latin, lol. Most mental illness could barely even be noticed from a physical point of view if you were just looking at the person. Most mental illnesses affect behavioural patterns rather than physical movements.

They tend to manifest themselves in various physical ways. I have seen no demonstration of demonic possession where the subject displayed no visble signs of possession. With mental illness it could just be a guy or girl standing entirely quietly and you would never even know what is going on inside them.

Also, in other heavenly religions, its is believed that demonic possessions exist.

Sweetie, I am 99% sure that there is no such thing (1% is true, because there will always be something that we'll never know for sure). There are so many mental illnesses that can be confusing.

Are you an atheist or something? Just for search for demonic possessions in any religion you want, they all agree on their existence. Anyway you will never know until some day you will be put in this situation. And then you can difereniate.
