Anonymous(36-45)+1 ywhat a lot of people mean when they say they don't have time to work out is simply this: They actually DON'T have the time to work out. Because they fill their time with things that are higher priority to them. Nothing wrong with it and no sense shaming them for not choosing to spend their time doing the things that you find important. :)
For the people that do wanna work out but fail to budget their time wisely... yeah not everyone manages their time well. Maybe you should take a few minutes out of your busy day to help them find time, rather than getting on here to make fun of them? I don't know. just trying to make America great again :D.12 Reply- +1 y
Well if people aren't happy with their body then they should make time and stop sulking
Opinion Owner+1 yyep true. we all have the ability to change ourselves and our circumstances if we're willing to work at it. BUT not everyone can jumpstart it by themselves. Some people need a helping hand to get started, not an insult. But yeah I know what u mean. It gets hard, andsometimes unbearable to hear people complain about things so much while seemingly doing nothing to try and change their circumstances :(

+1 yI study and work... my schedule is tight as a motherfucker and has changed numerous times. Yet I usually, somehow, squeeze workout time in, even though I can't really train half of what I'd like to. It all comes to how much will and drive you have to look good, feel good and just be healthy overall.

Exactly, I completely agree. Good for you 💪🏼
Why should I? There's not much joy in it, and the improvement sure takes a long time to notice.. so, why again? Then you can't stop, or you'll go back to what you were very fast.
Just seems like a burden really. It wouldn't change my life in any single way.00 Reply
well, i usually dont want to... i dont really enjoy it, i have a hot yoga thing i do once a week that im pretty good about, but actaully making it to the gym... im really good at finding reasons not to go and sometimes i dont even care enough to make an excuse for myself

I work out six times a week for an hour+ each time. I work 50+ hours (two jobs), volunteer, babysit and maintain a relationship. Anyone who says there's no time is bullshitting.

We don't have unlimited supply of willpower - often times daily life tasks take over and leaves us at the end of the day with not much 'willpower' left in the tank to then hit the gym

+1 yI probably should since I'm packing on some weight, but I don't have a gym membership. But during the summer, I did go to the high school and worked out. But also cause I did track/field 10 years and football for a few and played sports in college. I'm not doing sports and didn't do them competitively in college, so I don't really feel the need to work out extensively. There's really no point. Plus, I have a bad back and torn up knees anyways...

+1 yI do workout, when I can't I get up early the next morning. I am very busy during the week.
I work, study French/ASL, definitions, read a book a week/bible daily, practice my violin, write in my journal, study for school and I cook. I think I'm busy during the week.10 Reply- 1.3K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic.
+1 yI work 12 hour days in a very physical job. Fuck that.
Some people really don't have the time, some people don't care. There are plenty of healthy people that don't work out.11 Reply- +1 y
A physical job is different. I agree. I'm talking more about desk jobs.
For some people it's because they are lazy, unmotivated, uninterested, have some health related problem that prevents them from exercising, or they feel like they don't need it. I exercise everyday and I love to do it too.
20 ReplySome people just don't have time, I have friend that live relatively far from their work (more than one hour travel to get there) and after work they go straight to college and they leave college almost midnight.
10 ReplyI workout because its a good stress release ans the toned body and fitness level is a nice extra present
10 Reply341 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I used to workout a lot, now its limited between full time job and full time college, I try to get like 2 workouts in a week minimum but its hard sometimes

I hate people who sulk. It's a pet peeve of mine when people say they want to lose weight/unhappy with they're body and they say they don't have time to work out...
- +1 y
Well I'm working out I'm doing a lot of cardio exercises and yes i do make time for it. But you really shouldn't worry about them.
- +1 y
Sorry.. can't help a pet peeve.
I'm one of those people who watches a workout video and feels like I've exercised for the day.
20 ReplyI don't like gyms and staying active and doing some exercises on my own has worked for me so I don't think it's necessary for me to spend a lot of time or money working out

The real reason is laziness.
Easier to say and less frowned upon to say "I don't have time!" rather than.. "I'm too lazy"10 Reply

My friend works 52 hours a week as a nurse and still works out and has a social life.

Oh wait you mean physical.. as in labor. That's different. I'm talking about the people who complain about wanting to lose weight and stuff and then don't do anything about it

There definitely is a need for it lol
Opinion Owner+1 yWhy?

Uhh your health. There are SO many benefits to working out. It's like saying why would I eat healthy? Or why would I drink water? It's just better for you.
Opinion Owner+1 yYou don't need to work out to stay healthy. I walk to uni and to the shops and I'll do a couple of pull ups if I have excess energy. You don't really need more than that. Working out isn't all good anyway, it damages your joints and stuff
