Guys, why do you wear these to the gym?

Some guys at the gym I go to wear these. Is there any reason for wearing them? How are they better than gym shoes?

Never seen anyone I know wear those, the only thing I see people wear are a special kind of mask that makes the air you breath more like the air you'd breath in really high up in the mountains at the peaks, it makes training a hell of a lot tougher.

They're apparently better for running so basically, you run barefoot with a layer of protection.

I've been told they are like bare feet to run in. not a gym shoe. insaying that lots of guys i see st the gym lifting big weights wear chuck taylors coz the give no support and a firm sole to push into.

Its a new trend, but in the gym its rather useless. Some people wear them at walking or training because they say it gives a better feeling for their grip.

It really doesn't make any sense in the gym. That's why I was wondering. Perhaps one of these days I'll ask one of the guys wo do wear them at my gym and I'll let you know.

When they first came out I saw several people at the gym trying them. That didn't last long. Now I only see one guy who looks like he's from the 60's. I think he's protesting shoes.
I wouldn't wear them.

Neither would I. Makes two of us and all the other aensible people in gyms. But there are these 3 guys in my gym that wear them and I just don't know why.

Tbh, a lot of those gym gear stuff are unnecessary. I am talking about them lifting gloves. Who needs them anyways. Go bare hand man. A lot of them are just for dress up really.

Lmfao! I work at a sports store and I can gaurantee that these shoes are bought all the time. Sometimea when I am ringing them up I wanna tell them that there shoes suck but I knwo I shouldn't but deep down I need to say something!
