Is stick thin attractive?

I use to be 117 ibs at 5'9 a year and a half ago. I'm the same height but 133 ibs. I feel pressured to go back to at least 120 ibs to have the whole model look. People did constantly tell me i'm so thin before and it was taken as a compliment.

I really like slim figures. Maybe part of the reason is because I spent most of my life in Asia and what is considered "slim" in the U. S. is actually closer to "average" here than someone with a bit more body fat and a higher BMI.

That said, if "stick thin" means something like this:

I don't really find that attractive at all. It looks abnormal and unhealthy to me. However, a slim figure I consider very attractive is Taylor Swift:

... I don't know but some girls in the U. S. might consider that "stick thin". To me that looks perfectly healthy and normal.

If you're not starving yourself or anything and have a healthy lifestyle, I'd tend to find it attractive. Some girls have naturally slimmer legs, some thicker. Most of what I find attractive visually is based on my idea of what a healthy body looks like. That includes some very slim ones, though the photo above just looks too alien to me. I can't imagine most people achieving that figure in very natural and healthy ways.

I'm eating 1,200 calories per day and exercising for 1-2 hours at the gym and I take judo classes also. I'm on a low carb diet and its driving me insane. I feel weaker but i've read fitness articles on how a high protein and low carb diet helps burn fat faster.

At your body weight I don't feel like you need to lose weight, especially if you're making yourself miserable in the process. I don't know without a picture or anything to go by but 5'9 and 133 lbs sounds quite attractive to me. There are also ways to appear slimmer, taller, through muscle and posture besides just going to abnormally low levels of body fat.

Just looked it up and you're at the bottom range of normal BMI at 133. If you start losing weight below 125 lbs you go towards underweight, and underweight is where I start to feel like the look isn't quite as attractive.

People told me i'm thin curvy but I associate curvy with fat because even before I lost a tremendous amount of weight, I was overweight and I got the same 'compliment'.

Curvy can sometimes come in spite of low body fat, if you have shapely hips and a natural hourglass, for example. Also muscle mass tends to contribute to that appearance. It's not necessarily body fat that makes someone curvy. Sounds like an attractive figure to me.

"Curvy" is kind of ambiguous that way. But take Beyonce in this photo:

She's very curvy but if she lost more body fat than how she looks in that photo, her figure would begin to resemble that of a bodybuilder. It would start to become unattractive to me. There she's quite attractive. She's curvy but not in any way "fat" if you ask me.

Your present body weight to height is reasonably good. If you go lower to 120 lbs , you will not look better. Instead concentrate on toning your body through exercise.

Not to me and not to most men I know but if that's your natural body type and you are taking care of yourself, I'm not going to judge you either. There's someone for everyone and opinions are like noses, everyone has one so don't take mine to seriously!

Today's models are not stick thin even though they are skinny they have curves which is sexy stick figures are not sexy maybe you have a deeper issue

you're a much healthier weight now, don't keep striving to be so thin and underweight, honestly, I was a fitness trainer and I know what I'm talking about.
