Why are most women crazy about a thigh gap?

I am skinny so naturally I have one but I really dont care for it. If I could, I would love to become a full figured woman. Can someone pls explain the reasons for wanting a thigh gap?

My bruv is not available at the moment, but I know his thoughts. My boyfriend is not a GAGer, but I can answer for both.

My bruv, like my boyfriend, loves skinny girls. He likes the fact that more is visible with a thigh gap. Much of sex and foreplay is visual to many guys. To guys like them, it is ultra hot. Being full figured does not necessarily make you hotter.

Maybe I should add that I am skinny, and also have a thigh gap, as my legs are like matchsticks. LOL. I like the way I am. I cannot change it.

What's to understand, either a girl has a thigh gap or she doesn't. I have a small thigh gap, it's not like I did anything to get it that's just my skeletal structure. I mean it doesn't matter to me that I have a thigh gap one way or another! The picture you've shown is about the shape of my bum so naturally has a small gap, the other pictures of the girls with the big bums a thigh gap would look weird and unnatural to me.

People want something they can't have. And society tells us what we should want. Like Beyoncé who's considered one of the most enviable woman in the world went to far as to photoshop herself having one... I am thick. I do not have a thigh gap. Nor do I want one. I try to aim towards Christina Hendricks standard of beauty. She ain't got not thigh gap! But that said, they look good on some ladies yeah.

I don't really care about thigh gaps simply because it's stupid. What matters more is that you're fairly fit (which I'm working on).
People are obsessed with it because it is a recent beauty trend, and people are always scared of fitting in.

i think it looks good when you're healthy (when you don't have to be almost extremely skinny to have it). i'm losing mine and i'm not sad but i'd prefer it to stay. i think there are people who like it (when you have a healthy body fat percentage) because women who have a thigh gap are slim and have large hips (and that alone looks good). i don't think it looks good when you have it just because you're too skinny.

Having a thigh gap allows a men to see through your legs and see that you don't have balls over there. Not having balls means you are a girl. Exposure of thighs is a sex symbol. There is a difference between a healthy thigh gap and normal thigh gap.
Some people lags in building legs genetically. It's not a problem.
If you are interested in building less thigh gap, I'd say do squats and abductors-adductors

It's purely a fashion trend pushed by the fashion industry to make girls insecure about their bodies and buy their products that attempt to give them a thigh gap. Most guys don't talk about how hot a girls thigh gap is. There are some that do but they are the minority.

I really don't get it either. The only thing I can think of is that society has made us so fearful of being fat that people feel if they have a thigh gap that they are not fat.

But even skinny people lack thigh gaps sometimes. It all depends on how your body is set up.
