What do you think about white teeth?

Recently I have acquired a dental service to bleach my teeth. It is relatively costly but the results are significantly whiter teeth for a period of several years.

I am wonder tho, how significant are white teeth in female to male attraction? When I look at a female and see shiny white aligned teeth - this gives her some points in my book. How about the other way round?

You don't have to go to a dental place, to get them white..

there are cheaper ways.

such as crests whitening strips, I use those and they work.. The advanced whitening ones are about 30 to 40 dollars a case. THEY DO WORK.

and I use crest whitening toothpaste advanced, I use that about 3 to 5 times a day, and brush to 3 to 5minutes.

and I have perfect straight teeth from braces.. I get complements on my teeth all the time, like your teeth are really white..

I'm not sure how much it costs to get it done professional. But I now this works..

I know they work but I've heard they can be harmful to people who have sensitive teeth. It's better to be safe than sorry, no?

Besides, it cannot get any better than a full scale dental operation - can it?

in the UK and Europe from ?34 - ?54 depending on the product, its more expensive as they have to be imported

i loooove when guys have nice straight, white teeth. it makes me reaaaaallly happy.

it looks clean. it looks maintained. and its really attractive.

as for the bleaching, I don't know. I wouldn't do it any other way then just brushing & using mouthwash. If someones really set on having white teeth, do both three times a day with whitening products. Crest & Listerine have really good whitening lines. But not like, whitening strips or trays. Brush & Wash. No cheating. No pain, no gain. Even if brushing doesn't hurt.

brushing and rinsing and flosssing will remove daily food debris and "prevent" tooth stains. When you bleach your teeth you are bleaching the stain that can't be removed. This is either surface stain (easy to remove) or internal stain which is much harder to remove. try crest whitestrips.co.uk

So long as you have good dental hygiene(floss,brush) on a daily basis and they aren't yellow or missing(as Anon said),then it's all good.They don't have to be blazing white.It's a plus though although not a deal breaker

As long as they're clean I'm sure girls don't care. The shape of the teeth is more important, and how they are in connection with the lips. Girls went mad for David Bowies teeth, for example, and they were a bit weird. Same could be said for Adam Ant... Whereas David Hasselhoff, with his beaming white array, never really recieved much toothy feedback.

Every girl that answered this post said that white teeth are important...My teeth are slightly yellow but I get loads of girls, but I also have a handsome face and sexy body so maybe those things compensate...regardless, I've always been self-conscious about my teeth, I think I'll try those crest whitening strips!

they do work very well, remember you can only whiten to your natural shade, and dull / off white teeth are harder to whiten.

I find nice teeth very important. That is a real pet peeve for me, someone that does not take care of their teeth. You do have to be careful to not over bleach and have blindingly white teeth that just looks fake.

You can't really bleach beyond a point it doesn't look natural. The unnatural look you might see on celebrities is some smiling kit a dentist installs for them which is pretty much the equivilent of dying your hair.

No, actually you can bleach to the point that your teeth look too white and can even loose there shiny apperance trust me I have seen it quite a few times and I work in dentistry so I know how they got that way and that the person abused the bleaching product. But I think becasue I do work in dentristry I a bit more picky about how someones teeth look.

you cannot whiten "past" your natural shade, tooth shade is biological. FACT. If you want false, fake smiles like Simon Cowell you will need to get veneers. sensible bleaching once a year with a good oral care program of brushing , flossing, rinsing will help you maintain whiter teeth and a healthy mouth

No crestsmiles4you. I assume you must work in dentistry too. Haven't you seen the teeth that are so while they glow. I know I have. They look very fake and you are right bleaching once a year will not cause that but I have patients that bleach once a week for years they look terrible.

haha interesting question. It's weird but I always notice peoples teeth, sometimes more than their eyes. It's definitely better to have white teeth.

It's the second thing I notice in a girl. That is, if they're white and aligned - turn on, however if they're yellowish - then it is quite a turn off...

the first 15 seconds are important to make an impression, great looks and a well dressed person have soon damage that appearance with dirty, yellow teeth and not a great healthy white smile

My teeth are naturally yellow and I don't like the implication that because my teeth aren't as bright that I'm lazy and I don't take care of my hygiene. I don't drink, smoke, or even drink coffee or tea.

That's actually a good point: Taking care of your teeth doesn't normally make them whiter.

people are born with a tooth shade, from then their teeth discolour over time, you can only whiten back to your natural shade. Only bleaching will whiten teeth, brushing, flossing and rinsing won't make them whiter, just cleaner 9which is different) and of course healthy.

I'm the type of girl who really cares about the way someone's teeth are. Like big, white, straight teeth are the best. Its a plus to have when I'm dating someone.

clean teeth are def important and white teeth are an extra bonus for me. the main thing is that you have a nice smile and the more confident you feel the more attarctive a guy is - so thumbs up to bleaching
