Trending & News People are talking about billions like it’s a lot of money.
If a pharma company developed a universal cure for cancer it would make them trillions.
They don’t have one.
It’s a fair argument that pharma countries are more incentivized to develop treatments but that doesn’t stop them trying to produce anything they can that works and therefore makes money.
To use a specific example - big pharma did develop the HPV vaccine which -does- reduce the likelihood of some cancers and they happily brought that to market.
Putting aside just pharma as well, how much do you think the tobacco industry would pay for a current for lung cancer?
No, I do not believe that.
Because if someone found "a cure" for anything, they would simply just patent it and ask for more money than what the current treatments cost.
However, I do believe that companies that currently sell the treatments are very invested in making sure the cures are never found.
As that is very much the reality of modern healthcare.
Whenever you see a study dismissing the effectiveness of new treatments, it is probably funded by a company that sells a competing treatment already.
It is possible. Drug companies make boocoo bucks on sick people. They don't make money on people with good health. And it is fact that a lot of Congressmen go to work for drug companies when they retire and into high management positions. So you can see there might be a conspiracy to keep something like illness cures secret from the general population. I'm sure it also has something to do with population control. Cancer is one of the big killers and if everyone who dies from cancer is cured then that is just that many more people the government has to pay Social Security and Medicare to.
Actually this topic is very big. There are thousands of types of cancer and reasons for it to appear. Cancer is developed when 3 genes are deficit. Now, taking in mind that a human being has 24,000 of them the combinations are infinite.
Some therapies that have been found are for a specific TYPE of cancer or for a cancer deriving from damage to specific GENES. So saying "therapy for cancer" is a broad generalisation.

Bunch of conspiracy theorists on here... course there isn't some secret cure for cancer, it's a mental idea. I've studied it at postgraduate level, why would so many good people - scientists, clinicians, doctors conspire to keep people in suffering? It's insulting frankly to anyone who has had or known anyone with cancer, and all the people who work hard to help.
And of course there is no one "cancer". That's half the reason it's so difficult to treat.
I was going to say the same thing, so you beat me to it! Yeah I work in the medical field, although I am not a doctor. It is absurd that all these people involved would let people suffer and die just to keep some sort of secret cure. And there are 4,000 research scientists out there who are smarter than ME and *they* can't find this supposed *cure*? And like you say, there isn't "one type" of cancer either.
They do advance on it as they say. And as said by Mr. Milti " Because it totally makes sense to keep something a secret, which could make you insanely rich. Sure."
Do agree on the logic, but the same time with population growing and people are concerned about overpopulation can I see why it would have been hidden for the masses.
That is more of a consperation theory I do not support.
Belive we have not yet reached the goal of curing cancer.
It's possible. They earn billions from the sickness and slow treatments.
If you want to reduce your risk, go vegan and reduce exposure to carcinogens, avoid excess sunlight, etc. Dr Greger has videos showing a lot of studies on what you can do too reduce risk.
Because it totally makes sense to keep something a secret, which could make you insanely rich. Sure.
Right now, it is a multi-billion-dollar industry surrounding chemotherapy drugs. Including the hospitals in the administration of the drugs, we are looking at dozens of billions of dollars annually. So any promising cancer cure is a direct threat to these massive industries.
I'm not saying they successfully created a cancer cure, but I am saying that if there was something that significantly helped cancer they would have a vested interest in keeping it quiet.
For cancer people need diversity in food distilled water and a treatment called gcmaf it cures cancer. Unfortunately big pharma is suppressing it because it threatens the money they get from cancer treatment
There are lots of cures for various forms of cancer around, not all of them though and they are less successful with the more aggressive strains that spread faster.
Cancer is not a single disease. It's a class of disorders. Some have cures or are relatively easily treatable; others are not.
Stop tdee answer is: Yes, for some types.
With the surgeries doctor can do, and the amount of medicine that is being made, you still don't believe there is a cure for cancer? lol
Yep I really think they've had the cure for cancer for decades and won't release it because of money.
i belive there is cure for cancer 100%. But cancer is one way to control population. So its most likely that very rich people have access to cancer if something happend to them and rest of us will never know.
Yes and no, their is treatments that work in some body parts, but not wholesomely and not without severly damaging ones body often with increased likelyhood of devdloping other cancer.
Doesn't seem too likely but we do live in an age where we mutilate mentally ill children with puberty blocking drugs.
So much money in finding a cure that doesn't make sense. Plus extremely wealthy people die of cancer all the time.
There are rumours they have found it.
I think they have.
But they can't let market change that easily.
No steve jobs died of cancer I feel like if anyone could have bought it and used it he would have
They found different cures: surgery, radiation, chemo therapy
No, cancer is extremely complex and there won't ever be a magic pill that will take any type of cancer away.
Nope. Greed is a powerful thing and you can bet your ass that big pharma would be all over it if it existed.
I doubt it but I think they know more than what they are claiming.
Yea.. probably only the ultra wealthy or privy to that
They raised millions of dollars if their no cancer there be no need for cancer doctors no money.
Well yeah I know how cancer treat
I wouldn't be surprised
no..
Fking obviously
