Do you stare/approach at people in the gym?

With gyms opening up again in my region i can't wait to go back and ditch all this home workouts. The part im not excited at all is to get back to being stared at and approached at the gym specially when the people there haven't been able to socialise in 3 months and seem to have no boundaries.

I don't care! I know I look ok but it's not a good feeling. They're not telling me, 'hey, i just wanted to tell you, you have a nice smile' or a polite compliment like that. They're saying 'nice ass' and I'm just trying to work out here. It's a violation of privacy, i just want them to keep it in their pants. I get afraid when the gym is close to empty and a guy is staring at my breasts. I get worried he's going to touch me or rape me. I've been through a situation like that, it's scarring.

I can understand why it would be scary if you are in a vulnerable position, like alone in a private place with a stranger. But I’m just saying in general we guys just often do that when we see an attractive woman, not because we are sickos or objectifying women but we are just horny people and can’t help but appreciate an attractive woman when we see one, and sometimes when we have the confidence we do come up to an attractive girl for conversation. No I dont stare, I'm not one of those guys taking sneaky pics of girls either, maybe I have more sympathy than some other guys cause I'm fat, I'm fat and I do t want people looking or laughing as I get sweaty as hell doing something that is probably pretty easy for most, its suppose to be a judgement free zone, everyone one is there trying to better themselves and is wearing ridiculous clothing to make it easy that most wluldnt wear anywhere else. Sure the girls do look pretty hot in the leggings and sports tanks but they put them on to help them work out not to be eye candy.

Maybe some day I'll try to talk to a girl there but I haven't yet, it not what the gym is about.

I go to the gym when it's empty, i don't like people approaching me at the gym. Plus i wear a t-shirt that says: (today is a beautiful day to leave me alone, work out in progress). The chatty people at the gym are the worst! After guys who skips leg day of course

I do not approach anyone at the gym because I'm focused on my workout. However, there are women who catch my eye. That is to be expected. Women should not get offended just because a guy looks for a few seconds, especially at the gym. Odds are, a guy looking at you is a sign you are seeing results. If the guy is following you or keeps constantly staring that is different. Also, odds are you might think a guy is looking at you when he is staring into space from being tired.

If you see a guy doing this, just go up to him and ask if he needs anything. Do it with a tone of voice that indicates you wish to not be bothered. Most guys who stare creepily think they are being slick. Knowing they've been caught is often enough to make them feel embarrassed and stop lol If that is not enough let gym staff know. The gym is supposed to be a safe haven.

That is when it is time to tell the gym staff. EVERY guy knows not to approach someone else while they are working out. Sorry that has happened to you. Unfortunately that is not an issue that will ever go away. You have to take the steps to make yourself feel comfortable, however you have to achieve it.

Plus, I sometime wear tights without shorts, so if I were to get a boner, you'd be able to see the outline of it, which is more than I'd want people to see - I wear tights that have patterns, so you can't see much anyway, but I still wouldn't want people to notice it.

I returned to the gym on the first day it reopened in my country.
Not to say that I don't look, but it's rare and I never stare. I am sure some notice tho.
Of course sometimes I also catch them looking at me, but that is part of they gym I guess. It's funny when we both caught the other looking at the same time!
About approaching... never! We are there to workout, not to flirt.

I come in, workout and leave.
It's one of the reasons my friends don't join me to the gym cause once I start, I forget every other persons existence.

If you're that attractive, you're bound to get looks. If you can't accept that/take it as a flattery compliment, then that's an issue you will have to sort out. Everyone's bound to take peeks, glances, and or stare at "attractive" people when they train. It's just human nature to look at beautiful nouns.

There used to be a time, way back when gyms were known as "meat markets." It was common to stare and approach women. Because of this, gyms started opening up that only allowed women.

Nowadays, if a guy approaches a woman that man could be banned from the gym. I'm too scared to look at a woman, let alone approach her.
