How bad is a liver punch?

The only first and last I did that (I was then 16), my former neighborhood bully was struggling to breath, in pain and had to be assisted.

I'm now in my 20's and still kind of shock that just one good liver punch from me (a 5'5 thin girl) was enough to get that reaction. I thought it was an exaggeration at first. Hence I'm asking how bad is that?

Liver punches don't make you struggle to breathe, they just hurt like fuck. Most likely you hit the solar plexus, that's what winds people.

But yeah hit someone in the right spot with the right amount of power and it doesn't matter how big they are, they're going down. I remember when I was 15, 110lbs, I was skin and bone. There was this other dickhead, one of the trainers, he was a 250lb juice-head.

Out of nowhere he hit me in the solar plexus, winded me, put me down gasping for air. Walked off laughing saying I should keep my hands up. Once I recovered I went right up to him and hit him in the liver 3 times as hard as I could. Suddenly he just started groaning and walked off in pain. He had to stop training for the rest of the session.

I've been put down with livers shots too, it's horrible.

Well when you punch the liver its not designed to be punched so its very painful. Secondly, when you do it ripples (kind of like hitting jello) and strikes the vagas nerve which causes all the blood vessels in the body to very suddenly expand which drops the blood pressure in their body, but it also causes the heart rate to drop rapidly as well which causes a drop in blood pressure. Both of these combined cause an insanely rapid and extreme drop in blood pressure that causes the blood to drop out of the brain causing unconciousness in most cases and extreme debilitation as the only way to restore blood flow to the brain is to get prone. So its highly effective in dropping a person.

Its a pressure point. I've heard you can kill people if you hit them there just right.

I have a knee to the liver, it wasn't full power but well the knee is sharp and it did have a bit of power behind it.

I felt like i had just been hit with a tazer for a second, if it was full power they would have had me on my arse

When the bully literally couldn't get up at all and it got serious, I was worried about spending jail time. Since it was self-defense, no charges were filed against me.

Well anything can be claimed in self defense. Also i feel like getting punched in the head is much more dangerous since if you hit someone on the jaw you could shatter there teeth and if they fall and hit there hesd crack there skull, which is how some people have died.

So yeah liver shot in my opinion is much better than getting hit in the head. Of course you could do serious damage with a liver shot but not as bad as the jae

Extremely dangerous as if you miss and end of hitting the bottom rib it can break and puncture the liver and you would be going to prison for manslaughter

Thank you for the information. I realize the human body is fragile after all.
I was scared of going to jail at that moment and all my future thrown down the toilet. He couldn't get up afterwards. Hopefully I never have to defend myself like that again.

Not really a rib takes about 3300 Newton's of sharp force trama to break a rib that's the same amout it would take to move a 3/4 ton pick up truck 1 meter in one second but a train fighter can produce up to 5000 Newton's

I was actually scared of getting charged or having a court case. He couldn't get up afterwards. Luckily others knew it was self-defense and I was a good student, no records... so no charges filed.

You have to throw a Hard punch and Know exactly where to land it

It most likely depends highly on what it is mixed with.
