Is it possible to kill someone if they get punched in the throat?

Punching into the throat could possibly kill someone, with the main factor being force. If punched with enough force your esophagus could collapse, causing you to die of aspyxiation.
In other words: you can punch them so hard that their throat breaks and they can't breathe.

If it were hard enough to collapse their wind-pipe than yes you could. Usually people don't hit that hard with that much applied force so someone dying from getting punched in the throat doesn't often happen, in a regular fight.

Yeah, it is possible, although as far as I know, hitting the nose bone up into the brain is much simpler.

Yes quite easily. It would collapse the trachea and the person would suffocate.
