Succubi were supposed to be demons who drain your life force. It's not a physical thing. You just open yourself up by risky behavior. It's similar to the idea that the devil can't enter your home unless invited. Succubus can't devour your soul unless you decide to have sexual thoughts. Often such a demon would appear in your dreams as a result of you thinking about sinful stuff during the day. In the morning you would wake up weaker and you get another opportunity to control yourself. It's not even clear whether there originally was supposed to be a physical version of the demon. I think the original demon was meant to be purely spiritual. As a result, a death would be very slow, most likely you would just become sick and the resulting symptoms would be blamed on the demon. I am not aware of any actual reports of deaths and I believe the idea that a physical being could visit you and kill you after intercourse is very modern. We started to emphasize flashy coolness, while at the same time the moral lesson behind the demon got outdated. As a result, it transformed from a temptress into a sex-obsessed killer.

But, can Succubus make a guy commit suicide?

No. How would that work? Again, it will be with your permission. Your own thoughts would kill you. You may blame that on a demon. I obviously don't think demons exist outside of fiction, but even if they did, I have never heard the suggestion that a succubus could control your behavior or plant foreign thoughts into your mind. They may weaken you and you may more easily succumb to pre-existing illness or vice, but a succubus will not be whispering into your ear to go jump off a cliff.

The closest is the idea tgat the sex would be so great everything else would seem pointless in comparison. That too is a very modern idea, focusing more on a cool demon than on the internal conflict of the "victim"

Yes, they can kill you but often won't. You're a good source they want to keep, so you'll just be left lethargic, not dead.
