No, you could damage their skin potentially if left unmoved but the worst it would do is slowly tenderize the surface flesh and and inflame the skin and blind them. However if they died it would be from being bound with no food or water or from shock.
However if they did have a severe allergic reaction to the pineapples they would go into anifalactic shock and suffocate from swelling in the throat blocking the skin, meanwhile their eyes puff up and water profusely and there skin beaks out into irritated itching hives.

Hypothetically, but it wouldn’t work that quickly and they would wake up as soon as it started to do damage. You would need to completely submerge them in fresh juice, and realistically for something that large you would need to change out the juice too. Lye would be much faster. Either way try it on a small scale, like with a pork butt and see what happens after a few days.

Yes, this would make a good meme. Some guy buying 40 pineapples late at night with cash. And the clerk is chewing gum and she raises one eyebrow "Like pineapples do ya?" People aren't just made up of protein. There is also lipid and carbohydrate membranes of cells. The skin has a dense layer of cells with various fibrous materials that are not protein. Pineapple juice can't just chew its way through something like that. Also I assume bromelain gets used up eventually so you would have to continually replenish pineapples to get any results if at all.
They would not dissolve anywhere near that quickly, and it would take a lot of pineapples.. But it would be a worse problem, if they dissolved, and woke up anyway. Maybe I can try it on my mother-in-law!
