My parents used Pampers, from 1987 to 1991).
And yes, the diapers back then were really that thick!

My mother used… Wait I don’t remember because I was a baby! But, once I was older my mother had more children, that mom she just loves her unprotected sex. And with her new kids she was using reusable cloth diapers. Just a bunch of cloth diapers, which she would rinse off with a hose or whatever, then toss in the laundry and use them again. She probably spent about $50 on diapers per child. I don’t know how much those packages of disposable diapers are, but I imagine it’s a huge savings over the life of a child using 2 to 5 diapers a day for the first 2 to 4 years of their life, that’s like 3k-5k diapers.
I go back too far for disposable, when I was a baby rubber pants and thick cloth diapers were my brand
My Mother used cloth diapers and I am not that old. Cloth diapers still exist today.
