Because:
1. there's no such thing as "emergency approval" when it comes to the FDA; approval is a process that requires years of testing. "Emergency use authorization" HAS been granted to several treatments, BUT...
2. neither of the available Covid vaccines have been granted an EUA; administering them here for medical purposes is still illegal. As much as I ordinarily agree with going to the source on disputed matters, Donald Trump is NOT God, no matter WHAT he tells you. It is not within his power to turn a gene therapy into a vaccine.
3. Reverse transcriptase. That gene therapy isn't just distributing mRNA into your body and (potentially, now) altering your DNA; it's also potentially doing the same for every single one of the hundreds of trillions of viral cells in your body. And since the gene sequence is that for the spike protein that makes Covid so infectious, you're literally turning yourself into an engine of mutagenic death; ANY virus you happen to pick up could leave your body able to spread like Covid does. Bird flu has an IFR of 60%, more than twice that of smallpox. That risks being a civilization-destroying epidemic- but it can generally only be passed to humans from birds. But not if it picks up that protein! And the beauty of horizontal gene transfer means that it doesn't even have to come from YOU- any viral cell you give it to can pass it along to any other. A disease could be a hundred times as lethal as Covid, and that'd STILL be a monstrously bad idea.
4. Testing and setting precedent. Would you ride in a car that hadn't been crash tested? Would you do so if you knew that that meant sending the message that you didn't consider safety to be important? You do know that the *reason* those treatments were given the legal status of "vaccine" was so that the manufacturers would have no liability, right? You take one and get crippled by it, you're on the hook for EVERYTHING resulting from that.
5. Testing and SET precedent. HCQ and Ivermectin (neither of which actually HAS an EUA from the FDA, by the way) have decades of proven track record to draw from; their risks are quite well known. For that matter, neither of them have much experimental evidence of being particularly effective; it's pretty much all anecdotal so far, so for one clearly politicized experiment that wouldn't've passed muster as a fourth grade science project. Remdesivir (which does have an EUA for this application), while not nearly so well-established, still has twelve years of history to work with. mRNA prophylactic treatments, by comparison, are mostly known for killing test animals.

It's a simple weighing of known medical risk vs unknown medical risk, and horrific legal risk vs NO legal risk, to say nothing of what it risks doing to the viruses of the world. The real question is, given the minuscule risk Covid actually poses, why anyone WOULD risk becoming a GMO instead of simply riding it out.

I also know that PCR testing was never intended to be a diagnostic tool, and that anything above 30 cycles is pretty much meaningless. Consequently, I know most of them AREN'T dead from Covid. And so does the CDC, and the FDA, and every other reporting agency that has an ounce of integrity. So, when a few years have passed the hysteria has worn off, will you- you'll probably look back on this madness and wonder how anyone could be so stupid; ignoring your own part in it.

This is gonna be the invasion of Iraq all over again, just wait and see.

A lie does not become truth simply because time has passed and it has not been corrected. The 700,000 who died within 28 days of a positive Covid test faced certain death when their hearts gave out- no gene therapies would've helped with that. They faced it when hydrostatic shock shut their brains down- not for that, either. They died of influenza and diabetes and opioid overdose and suicide, and none of those would've been helped by making their bodies produce spike proteins. There were even a few of them who died of Covid. Would THEY have done anything to stay alive? Quite possibly.

But here's a question for YOU: would you have your infant daughter under a double mastectomy to prevent breast cancer? She'd be all but immune, for her entire life. Would you have your pregnant wife take Thalidomide for her morning sickness? Your kid can't break their arms if they don't have any. Do you really not acknowledge that some treatments aren't worth the risk?

I think you missed the point. The vaccine wasn't to prevent you from getting the virus, it's to prepare your body so the symptoms aren't so severe and you don't end up in hospital.
