From your photo it looks like you already have baby abs, they're just not defined. I've grown a six-pack in just a few months though infrequent gym visits - a good diet in combination with an efficient workout will get you there in no time.
I had abs like yours before I started working out, it shows they're prepped; if you don't go to the gym you can practice both power-walking and variations of crutches at home.
Strengthening them will stabilise your core and accentuate your belly, which is Very attractive. In addition to this, growing your abs (Rectus Abdominis) will reinforce your intimate areas, help you to... , and allow you to squeeze your belly in during sex (which makes it tighter in there for both you and your partner).

I think it's a lot harder for women to have well defined abs because they naturally have a higher body fat %, and the visibility of abs mainly depends on that.

Keep building them up. You should get your body fat tested because no matter how much you work your abs, you won’t be able too see them. While men’s body fat needs to be in single digits, yours should be at 19% minimum. Also remember this. Abs are made in the kitchen. Not the gym.
You look stunning just the way you are now, getting abs is up to you though keep in mind, a lot of guys don't like abs on girls, but how you are now is perfect to most guys. Again totally up to you though, your body after all
Don't make it personal, everyone looks better with abs. But if you don't do proper sports you'll look clumsy who compensates the lack of coordination with strength. So pick wisely.

Visible abdominals are the natural default, it's a sad byproduct of unhealthy lifestyles having become the norm that makes it appear otherwise. So yes, abs are your friends, and a hallmark of a healthy mine/body/soul connection.
