Is it better to wear no socks or only one sock?

Yesterday I went to a swimming pool but I lost one of my socks their. So I just put one and had one barefoot in my sneakers going back home.
Is it odd? Should I wear no socks at all?

I think at that point you're better off with no socks

Well, I never wear socks anyway so go without. That's just my opinion.

Put on one sock, but don't use the other foot? :)
