It was a fun study. I enjoyed being a part of it, I made some cash and got 3 months worth of high quality ovulation predictor kits and pregnancy tests. And after all that I have my beautiful boy. 💙

No but when I was really young, like 16 I think (Jesus Christ I'm old, fuck that was almost 8 years ago), I was invited to this study on bullying that had students, parents and teachers.
I very quickly became the de facto leader of our table (the students) I guess due to my ability to coherently organize everyone's thoughts onto the whiteboard and I was the one who consistently kept explaining all of our responses to the questions to the rest of the groups.
I actually got complimented all night on how well I explained myself by the other adults. I'm not lying on this or trying to feed my own ego (my own opinion on myself is quite low I promise you), one of them even called me a near-genius, which would not be the last time someone would describe me with this incredibly loaded and hyphenated word.
22 years, that’s how long since I was 16. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. 😂
Not a competition damnit.
But if I could pipe and smoke it, I so would.
you know that peanut butter with the jelly mixed in it. I tasted it in a taste test prior to it being put on market.
That’s a fun factoid. Lol
Thanks for your contribution to PB&Js. 🤣
Nope but my boyfriend has done a taste test study for subway sandwiches. Wish I got the chance to be apart of it but the spots ended up being filled by the time I emailed the person. I think he made $200 in cash for just trying the sandwich
Fun! Paid to eat I love it.
My wife and I did a preview of a TV show that hadn't yet aired at the time and gave our thoughts on it while in Vegas. We each made 50 bucks.
Sweet!

Yes, back in the early `70's, we were testing Pringles chips. They gave them to us in two different containers, both completely white. One was their standard tube style, the other came in a bowl that was kind of like what you'd make a bunt cake in. I'm guessing they were the exact same chips but, somehow, the ones in the bowl tasted just a tad better.
About 10 years later, I was asked to test out a few different condoms. I didn't have a girlfriend, at the time so, they provided me one. She thought they were great, I thought they were a little bit messy. She left me after the baby was born. She accused me of cheating on her and swore up & down that it wasn't her baby.
Um, that last part, sorry, what?
I know. Lol. I made it up. It was 15 years later.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Not a market study, but I was a member of several focus groups many tears ago. There were about 8 people (men and women, various ages) in each group and we typically saw an ad video and commented on it. The products ranged from cereal to shampoos to automobiles. Each group lasted about 2 hours. A person representing the product made a short presentation, we then watched the video, filled out a questionnaire, and then had open discussion, which was watched by product representatives via a one-way mirror. It was fun and I got paid $25 for each group.
Congrats on your experience... and the fine result!
I did one for mens underwear once. Unfortunately they weren't very good at sending the correct sizes... its was all stuff a US brand was looking to import for sales in their retail stores, so its all unbranded or with Chinese characters on the waistband. Some of the pairs were actually pretty good, but most were absolute crap.
Lol! That doesn’t bode well for them.
I've watched the shelves at this store, haven't seen any that resemble the underwear I tried yet. I did wear one of the pairs I got from the study yesterday though...
Heyyy! Free underwear! I did a few diaper studies. Free diapers and paid for the used ones. 🤣
*For my children of course
OMG *got paid for the used ones
Taste testing a new brand of beer, which I thought was god-awful swill. Styling advice on the (then) new Cadillac Allanté (my advice was ignored). Taste testing some sort of peanut butter-filled pretzel, which I thought was great.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 funny stories. Thanks for sharing.
I was asked to do a survey for a company that wanted to build a gambling casino in the area. I basically just had to sit through a presentation and fill out a questionnaire. I got a gift card for a local restaurant and there was a drawing for a big screen TV (I did not win), Fortunately they built it somewhere else.
Score for pee! I have thought about signing up for migraine studies and a couple others, but thought them scams.
I do it a lot. I'm signed up with a handful of companies and do them regularly. Weirdly they come in spurts, but I made about $800 since October. It's my 'slush fund' money. So I can buy overpriced dive gear with it, lol.
It was DIY home repair tool. Fell apart using it. Told them. Later it was being sold at hardware stores. Didn't look like anything changed on the design.
I worked for a peoduct research company for a while. So I was involved in many different studies.
No, but I was part of the Nielsen ratings for TV.
@exitseven LOL I basically gave them a blank reply because I don't watch network TV at all except for sports and news occasionally.
@loveslongnails I would have filled it out anyway. I would enjoy the power of determining the future viewing habits of the country.
@exitseven I never thought of that. LOL It's nice and devious though.
That sounds fun, but dont how to do one
Coke and Pepsi challenge. I chose Pepsi.
Naw, cuhh
No, no time for this stuff
NO. Certainly not intentionally!
