+1 yI love food and I enjoy feasting.
Good thing I also enjoy exercising.
However, I have to watch my carb & sugar intake.
Nothing alarming, I just wanna train myself to watch what I eat.
From a mere 105, I ballooned to 155 lbs in my mid-late 30s.
When I turned 40, I made it a goal to get my old glory back.
It took me a long while because I to refused to give up certain foods & beverages.
I'm turning 50 in less than a month and I've regained my athletic physique with mostly exercises without sacrificing much of my passion for all things delicious.
I have my husband to repeatedly thank because he's a truly effective coach. <3
Currently at 115 lbs, I feel healthier & happier then ever before with blood results to be proud of as well.11 Reply

+1 yYes I eat the Mediterranean diet. It seems healthier then keto. I retired and next thing I know I was getting fat. I was at 260 I’m a big ole man so I carried it well but I didn’t feel good I couldn’t stand that so I started this diet and got a gym membership and I’ve went from 260 to 212 rt now. Biggest thing I stopped was all soft drinks and processed food and sugar. Then I found that diet I like it and I didn’t know anything about dieting. I drink water and tea and coffee now mainly and juice of course. I eat organic foods and I raise my own calf every year and butcher it that way I know the meat quality is good and grass fed no hormones or antibiotics. It’s a good time 😊

Yes ma’am it does I started trying keto but dang I got dizzy and weak feeling about day four I didn’t like no energy , after a lifetime of southern cooking. I’m a good cook too. I live that it has whole grain cereals and goat cheese which is pretty good for you. Lots of nuts and legumes , fruits , and vegetables I like it. It’s basically just staying away from processed crap. You shop around the edges of the grocery store and stay out if the middle where all the processed crap is that stuff will literally kill you. A lot of things in the American food supply are illegal in other countries like that red dye they put in foods like Doritos and other red chips. Most Americans live on a diet of processed sugar and processed carbs which turn to sugar. Also if you train with weights you're still burning calories while you muscles heal back. I do thirty minutes if hard fast weight training whole body every day then I get in the treadmill for 30 to 45 minutes at brisk walk right before you start to run. That’s working wonders.

+1 yNah but I do fast occasionally as I think it's true to nature that you won't get to eat every day as we're not grazers we are hunter gathers

Fun fact lunch is a fairly recent thing basically invented by a guy who couldn't wait for dinner although saying that I don't know how healthy it is to only have two meals a day.. I think two meals and a snack is healthy? Like depending on your body type and your bmi and other factors I don't know but what I do works for me but for any help on the matter I'd consult someone who studied it as they can really help or a nutritional specialist

I'm doing Keto again and likely going to be doing it longer than the first. Last time I lost 68 lbs and over 10% body fat over 8 months. It was the easiest diet for me, since I felt great, lost weight, had great mental awareness/function and never felt hungry.
I ended the 1st keto run somewhat early, as I had some family stuff/vacation/holidays back to back which made it hard to get back on the diet. Tried eating more regular and also the Mediterranean diet, meal prepping, etc.. but the weight slowly crept back up.11 Reply1.6K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I'm not on a diet because my weight is exactly where I want it to be. It's around 160 pounds. So now, even though I'm not working out as frequently or eating as healthily as I was to get to this weight, all I have to do is keep intermittent fasting for 14+ hours a day while making sure that my calories aren't in such a surplus that I gain significant weight.

+1 yI’m trying to eat more vegetables and greens this year I’m really into fruit at the moment too I haven’t had a candy bar is years fruit taste so good now I’m seeking protein from turkey and fish with the occasional chicken and I’m cooking all my meals snacking in between I need to eat at least 5 to 8 times a day to make gains I’m not worried about calories because I don’t want lean muscle I wanna get big I’m avoiding lots of salt and dairy because it makes me really bloated

+1 yI eat vegan, and most of the time only quite healthy foods.
Nevertheless within that I eat freely what I want.12 Reply- +1 y
I eat some fake meat. But if there wasn't any, I would continue eating vegan.
For instance my favorite food is fruit.
+1 yNo, but a lot of my friends are. I haven't seen many guys my age out recently (30s). Therefor, I feel like there is no point in dieting; not running in to many people.
10 ReplyYes, I’m on a seafood diet…I see food and eat it (I’m only joking). No special diet as such, just everything in moderation. Cutting down on fatty/salty foods and no late night snacking.

+1 yI’m not on a diet per se, but I do intermittent fasting. When I eat though I eat w/e I want and as much as I want.

You still ideally want to be eating at as much of a deficit as possible if your goal is to actually lose weight, and a surplus is definitely going to curtail your efforts. The idea is to get your body to use fat for fuel instead of stored carbs, and not everybody is comfortable with ketogenic (super low-carb) diets.

00 ReplyKind of. Im intuitively eating. I'm focusing on eating the right foods to help with my overall physical health. I eat when I'm hungry. I pay attention to my body telling me that I'm full. Im choosing foods that make me feel good.
