Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIt took me ONE Day!
102 fever on left side of head, 103 on left, body aches around midday. Finished work, went home, laid down, took nothing for symptoms, and died. Got up next morning, fever gone, body ache's gone. Tested positive that afternoon. Took 5 days off.
Never had difficulty breathing, no loss of taste or smell, no diarrhea, no cough. I've had bouts of flu that were worse. All I had was a loss of income for 5 days
I honestly don't believe I had Covid, due to the symptoms being so mild and leaving so soon, but the test said I did, so...
Or I truly had it, because I tested positive, but the positive result was totally unrelated to an unknown Covid infection I must have had previously, that I had no symptoms for, and this positive test had nothing to do with this 'whatever I had' and never noticed it at all.
It's a flu like virus, nothing more, nothing less. Virulent enough to take the elderly with lowered immune systems, the infirm, the immunocompromised, and those of high risk.
It's unfortunate that so many died, but a heart attack is a heart attack, and just because they tested positive for Covid, doesn't make it a Covid related death, or caused by Covid. Car accident victims were dying of Covid! Really? Minus the Covid related cases from the real Covid cases, and not many more died than any years flu. It's all a political game, I don't care if it was nature or a lab, accidental or on purpose, engineered or naturally occurring, and those that fell and continue to fall, for the argument, I pity them for their gullibility.
I'm fine. I never feared it. I never did anything to protect myself against it. What I did do was ignore the idiocy and live my life. What I got was a fever and body aches, and a Covid test with no independent way to verify that it's accurate.
What I do have is some medical professional's word for it, who's opinion and test procedure accuracy is influenced by the political climate, their personal brainwashed and supplanted views, and their ability to stay employed when so many aren't.
But hey, y'all go right on ahead and play Chicken Little and believe the other fools telling you the sky is falling. Just don't try shoving your invalid to me, opinions paraded as fact, down my throat as real facts. The facts about Covid are what I lived, how I lived, what I've observed, and what I experienced, NOT what I've been told by zeroes, nobody's and politicians with personal agendi of grandiosity. Tell me differently.00 Reply

+1 yI had it last month. I’m vaxxed and boosted, and I’d say I’m in pretty good shape with no chronic issues, so it wasn’t much to me. I was a symptomatic so it was whatever. I do feel a little sluggish athletically when I play hockey, but that might be wishful thinking, I haven’t played as strongly as I want for the last month or so, and I’d love an excuse😂 It DID happen as soon as I came back from being quarantined, I can’t say that’s NOT it, just sayin’, lmao, but I might just be a little off for some other reason.
My dad had it at the same time. He’s vaxxed, but he’s 90, and it almost killed him. Put him the hospital for like four days, and he’s still shaking some of the after-effects off.
Also, in case you’re just asking strictly about illness or positive testing duration…. I tested positive like January 5th, but had tested negative December 29th, but my dad tested positive that day. We both were exposed on Christmas. It was only a couple days later so I may not have been testing positive yet, or it’s possible I got it in the next few days from my dad, that’s unclear. I retested again January 11th to see if I could start my hockey league or not, and I was negative, so I’m inclined to think I contracted it from my aunt on Christmas like my dad did. So “getting over it” in terms of passing a test, my experience was somewhere in that window of up to 17 days but maybe lower, like 10 days.10 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yCaught it twice.
First time (April 2021)(not vaccinated)
Had severe headache and fever for 3 days straight, lost my senses of smell and taste, lungs not affected.
Second time (January 2022)(vaccinated one dose in Nov)
Slight thriat pain and fever for two days, didn't lose my senses of taste or smell, lungs not affected.
After both the times that I got covid, I experienced extreme fatigue, unexplained muscle aches, and forgetfulness, i just turned 23 last month. I've talked to many people and they all mentioned forgetfulness and fatigue as post covid symptoms. After the second bout of covid, I noticed, I have forgotten a lot of things which I never forgot eg.., memories, addresses, names of people etc. I hope I'll be ok after a few months. And I feel sleepy the whole time, I sleep around 9 hours a day yet i feel tired and would sleep more, I also felt that it's hard for me to focus and concentrate on studies.21 Reply
Opinion Owner+1 yI forgot to add that I have lost my weight (2kgs) during the first bout of covid, and I'm unable to gain it. I'm just not able to gain weight, no matter what I eat.
+1 yHad it twice now. Don't know what the first variation was, but the second just after the new year was Omicron, I am sure. That took me 10 days to get over. No symptoms, and the worst bit was being stuck indoors for 10 days. No other family member got it. The booster jab helped, I am sure.
The first infection led to long covid. Took 6 months to get over it. Unjabbed at the time.20 Reply

+1 yI might have caught it in January 2021 cause I lost my 2 senses : smell and taste for about 3 days without any other symptoms. But, didn't check cause I didn't realise it could have been Covid until it ended. I stayed at home before, during and after so not sure how I got it.

+1 yCaught it in the beginning of 2020 before vaccines were developed; it took a month and a half to get over it (such an awful experience I never want to relive).
Got vaccinated and caught it again months later in 2022, January. Took 2 weeks. I lost my voice for a few days, and had the sniffles. Compared to 2020 OG covid, this one was so mild and pleasant.10 Reply- 1.1K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic.
+1 yI know several people who have had COVID, a few of them more than once. None of them were hospitalized and none of them died, thank goodness. Some were vaccinated, some were not... the virus doesn't seem to play favoritism.
Some of them had it really bad, and were out of action for 2-3 weeks. Others had a mild case and it was over in less than a week.10 Reply 2.7K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I had it and honestly it wasn’t bad I’ve had colds and the flu that were worse.
The worst part about it is it makes it harder to breath and you feel really exhausted and worn out like you got no energy.
it just takes a long time to get over I think around 2 weeks for me.
its more annoying then anything.22 ReplyCaught it last year (Jan21) before vaccinations etc I was one of the lucky ones - didn’t even get a cough or a temperature but did lose my sense of smell for about 3 days. I was over it in about 3 days although felt a bit tired for about a week. If I hadn’t had the test I wouldn’t really have known I had it tbh

+1 yI have gotten all 3 variants of Covid. The first one wasn't that bad but lasted 3 weeks. The 2nd one wasn't bad either but also lasted 3 weeks. This latest omnicron made me feel awful but lasted just a week. I also helped my mom move the 2 days before I got it so I'm not sure how much of my fatigue and soreness was also from that.
10 ReplyC-19 - 45 days.
Omicron - less than a month ago. I didn't even know I had it. Considering me and my sister have antibodies and yet recently she had the same symptoms of Omicron, the only explanation is that I've caught it and got self-cured literally in a day or so without even noticing any effects on me.10 ReplyYep. I'm fully vaccinated so it was a breeze. Sniffy nose with bit of a sore throat for a few days, that's all. So glad I had the vaccines, two jabs last year, booster jab this year. The vaccine program has been brilliant here in the UK.

+1 yNot that I can tell. I was last tested a week ago but the hospital won't release information over the phone, so I got to go back in person of figure out what a patient portal is, too find out the results.

+1 yFirst time was a pretty rough flu like illness back in 2020. Was really bad for the first 3 days, then tapered off and I had intermittent fever and cough for about 9 more days. Omicron was basically just a bad headache and a light cough for two days. The tension headaches I’ve been getting lately are much worse.
00 ReplyI had covid a little over a year ago, I stayed in quarantaine fot about 10 days. My taste and smell haven't been the same since, but apart from that I was back to normal quite quick.

+1 yI got it early/mid January. It was just like a cold, even my 2 YEAR OLD sister got it and acted like nothing was wrong, it took maybe 3-5 days to get over it. It took my parents maybe 1- 1 1/2 weeks.
10 ReplyI caught it last spring. It was barely worse than allergies and cleared out after a few days, but the disease has dulled my sense of taste still to this day.
10 Reply2.1K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I've had it three times. First time was just over two weeks before I felt better. Was pretty much on my deathbed. Second I had a slight fever and the shits got over it in about 5 days. Third time I had a severe headache for a day then felt fine.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI didn’t know I had Covid until the 4th day of symptoms. Days 6-9 were the absolute worst and by day 10 I could work again but still wasn’t 100%. I would get exhausted just trying to climb stairs but a week later, I had more lung capacity and energy.
