I'm 6', and between 175-180lb (80kg). I am definitely not fat. My body fat % ranges between 8%-13%

I try to keep a balance of muscle, but my body is naturally more endothermic. I'm quite happy with my body, I feel it is very healthy naturally, and I sometimes eat poorly, but for the most part I do a good job eating very healthy.

5'0 103 isn't chubby and if you are 13, it could be unhealthy to lose more weight as you are likely not completely done with puberty. I doubt you are fat at all

You may or may not be fat, but it is a good idea to keep your health in mind and work on developing healthy eating and exercise habits as soon as you can, so 13 is a fine time to start a goal of being fit for life.

I just know I see a lot of people start off with bad habits young and their parents often are part of it, leading them into fast food restaurants before they are old enough to make the decisions for themselves, then by the time they ARE old enough, the habit is so strong from repetition it's more or less too late:

okay, but you are young and no one starts off being an expert. I am a very athletic person, and it takes a lot of practice to be skilled at something. I don't just pick up 10 balls and start juggling them perfectly. Even starting with just three, I will drop them hundreds of times while learning to juggle.

It's an investment, and involves practice even when you're "not in the mood". The same as schoolwork, we don't always feel like doing math problems or reading about biology, but the more we learn and practice the more powerful we become. You can try to avoid these things, and try to avoid any difficulty in life by only doing whatever you are in the mood for, but as I said this is a trap. Living like that, at the extreme end you end up a weak person, with no skills, no knowledge, poor health, etc. We have to struggle a bit to get to the worthwhile and fulfilling pieces of life.

I'm reflecting on years of observations I've made in life when I see unhappy people. I do medical work, and just the other day for example, I had a patient who was my same age, but she had led a life of laziness and now has many medical issues due to poor diet, and lack of exercise, and also has no knowledge or skills to help her deal with these issues.

Again, your choice, and if you think it will bring you happiness now and in the future, there's no reason to change your style :)

in my opinion having a good diet is the more important thing; since as long as you're getting proper nutrition it's all that really matters, i think exercising is only really good if you want to build/not lose muscle over the years. but yeah, to each their own :)

I agree diet is much more important as long as at least a small amount of exercise is involved (like a daily walk). I would estimate it around 90% diet, 10% exercise. I still exercise and participate in sport because I feel extra benefits of balance and coordination, energy/stamina, strength, confidence, and just general enjoyment of my body in space-time.

I'm short (180 cm) and I weigh over 265 lbs/120 kg (I'm not going to post the actual weight). I'm like 32-33% body fat. So yes, I consider myself both short and overweight. I'm taking care of the overweight part though, but the midgetness will always remain, sadly...

You have strong legs then honestly I would say focus on your legs as a big person you have different problems you wanna make your legs strong so your knees and tendons in your legs are healthy and you’ll lose weight incorporating any form of exercise regularly into your life if this is not already your habit

My upper body doesn't look so muscular (WIP) but most of my broad muscles are in my legs being a sprinter and vert skater. So I'm a lot heavier than I look and tend to surprise people when they try to carry me. But not too much body fat.

Because of my medication, water retention and overactive tyroid, I've gone from 5"8 @ 112lbs to 196lbs :( but I'm going to try as hard as I can to get back to how I was. I hate how much weight I've gained.
