Why do people assume vegans are unhealthy?

Vegan diets can be a part of a healthy lifestyle when planned and implemented correctly. Like any eating plan to restrict specific food groups, vegan diets can come up short in essential nutrients such as protein, calcium, iron and vitamin B12.
I have a friend who was vegan, they thought they were smart, had it all planed out, and undercontrol. But know the suffer from acute pancreatic problems, cause from lack of protein and Vietnam D in their diet.
The facts are people started out as hunters and gathers and required high protein and fat sources in their diets. Cutting out thing like animal products, really goes against our very biological nutritional requirements. Sure there are other natural sources for protein and fat... but long term there health risks to it. Thing like pancreatitiois can take years to built up. For some by the time they show signs there is already glabldder and kidney damage.
My friend was lucky, he eats chicken now, but he's got to be very careful... because his body now no longer capable of processing saturated fats. So he's on medication for the rest of his life and has to very careful not to eat anything that might that cause relapse.
We need meat, it's natural, we have been evolving around eating both meat and veg for millions of years,
People who don't eat meat need some sort of supplements to get the vitamins or missing nutrients they're missing from their diet, it's stupid to go against nature and force meat out of their life jus cos they think "poor animals" (cries)
I got news for you... The vegan movement hasn't stopped one slaughterhouse operating and hasn't saved one single life.. and in a thousand years slaughterhouses will still be operating, so you can waste your life eating crappy leafs for a pointless cause, then at your deathbed realize it was stupid and you jus wasted years of tastey meat for nothing,
But the food chain is reality boo, it might be harsh but it's never gonna stop and I'm gonna always eat and kill meat, I don't care how much the vegan movement cries about it, deal with it you big babies, nature is harsh... Not everything in life is fairies and unicorns and happy things like you deluded Marshmellos wish for
Stop this nonsense and jus eat some. tastey meat, you know you want to
I don’t know, probably because they don’t know anything about nutrition and assume if you don’t eat meat you can’t get enough protein or B vitamins which isn’t the case at all! People who think this usually have horrendous diets as well so they shouldn’t be commenting on it, usually eating unhealthy amounts of red meat, drinking beer often, eating junk etc. (I’m not vegan)
From my experience.. and not labeling. Country folk are raised a little different than those in the city. There is more crowd thinking. Less push to stand out and have your own opinions. It’s country folk who tend to be raised on meat and think others are weird if not.

Because the ones shoving their lifestyle in our face and trying to force others to do as they have chosen to do are pretty bat shit insane. Go back 20 years ago, and most people responded to it as "ohh, that neat," and then ate their meat... it wasn't an issue that pissed people off.
Physical heath-wise... people do seem healthier at first, but I think that's because they cut out all the really unhealthy crap, so then there's that initial positive benefit. The ones that have done it for 3 or more years though... really start to look like shit and break down with all sorts of illnesses... including that bat shit insane mental stuff. I think the same about the meat-only people, minus the pushy do as I do stuff.
The only issue with a vegan diet not being health, is when they don't have a balanced diet. In a vegan diet you have to focus a bit more on where your protein is coming from and ensuring there is a sufficient amount. Also a lot of these new meat substitute options that are becoming available have a variety of flavourings and additives that are less than desirable in the human diet. If someone is going to be vegan it is better that they just steer clear of these, live with the fact that you're not eating animal product's and don't try and mimic then, it's only bad news.
Personally I could never do a vegan or even vegetarian diet as I love my meat too much, not that I have a huge amount anyway as I have a pretty healthy diet, but I can't live without meat a few times a week.
I mean they are all mentally unhealthy lol.
But healthy as in nutrition well that just depends on what they actually eat to supplement what meat would give them. I think a lot of people assume vegans don't eat stuff that supplements what meat gives them which obviously they do otherwise they not gonna be having a fun time.
Vegans are bleeding hearts with an agenda, it's an emotional lifestyle choice rather than an informed one.
People who make choices based on emotions can hardly be trusted with having enough forethought to make up for the fact that their diet is nutritionally deficient in substantial ways.
I don't doubt that there are vegans who do the necessary research for the sake of their own well-being as well, but I think most vegans out there are probably just starving themselves.
You realize, of course, there are entire cultures that are vegan? How is that an emotional choice?
That's obviously a different matter entirely.
I'm talking about vegans from a western culture who choose veganism for ethical or environmental reasons.
Cultural vegetarianism adopted across south, south-east and east Asia is different.
Not only the cuisine but also people's genetics in those parts of the world are more adapted to vegetarian type diets.
Ok, good. I just would hate to think the statement "Vegans are bleeding hearts with an agenda" was applied to all vegans.
my best friend has been vegan since she was in the womb... I know her very well, so I know she's not unhealthy
but I also know that for her is more of a whole life style and not just a trend she picked along the way... about other vegans I have no idea
Been vegan basically my whole life and never had any health issues. Also carried 3 babies and breastfed them all. They are all healthy strong boys! Anyone that thinks being vegan is unhealthy just isn't educated enough about what vegans eat.
I think it's a two-way divide thing like the bipartisan political parties in the US. Extremities not representative of ordinary people divide each other and the glaring thing in the middle of all this is SAD which almost everyone agrees is unhealthy.
it's more difficult to get the necessary proteins i'd say. but i mean, it can be healthy as long as you balance it out right.
I dont know either since I have met my fair share of overweight vegans or ones that still maintain a poor diet but 'look' fit.
Ignorance and lack of knowledge of the subject.
They base it off of the bits and pieces they accidentally stumble upon
I have zero issues with vegans.. Until they force that lifestyle on babies, children, and pets.. Thats just straight up evil.
Vegans shouldn't force their lifestyle on anyone, not just babies, children, and pets.
oh i agree, but i have never met a vegan who didn't try to force their lifestyle on everyone else, either by insult or claiming to be superior.
Not unhealthy but just a FREAK. How much dirt can one eat and actually enjoy life⁉️ No oils or meat based products, etc
Goid deserts like upper end cakes etc…butter-nope‼️
Because they think that meat and cheese are important food components. That is traditional.
In fact a vegan who checks out well what to eat, how to combine it with other foods is healthier than any other person.
I’ve never heard of anyone assuming vegans are unhealthy. They literally live off of healthy foods.
It's possible to be unhealthy on any eating diet/pattern. I'm sure a lot of vegan diets are lower in protein but I'm sure there is a healthy way to go about it.
They are also healthy, I mean some of them are even healthier @Cherry234
Right I will say yeah
Than meat 🥩 eaters like me lol 😂, yeah at the end of the day people will always differ in likes and tastes as we as in body appearances.
most vegans don’t know how top properly supplement for what they’re missing from meat and eggs i. e fat soluble vitamins like K2, it’s possible to supplement correctly but it’d be expensive and time consuming
*how to
I agree with you and people shouldn't be judged for being a Vegan
Lack of meat is usually why but their are foods that can easily sub meat and may be even better for you.
I always assume they are healthier. I just like meat too much to try it
Most vegans are unhealthy. If you eat any meatless meats that shit is very unhealthy. Vegans who say "oreos are vegan" they are the unhealthy kind. Most vegans are vegan for political reasons not health reasons.
Because they're missing out on essential vitamins and nutrients unless they take supplements.
A lot of vegans are malnourished and don't eat right. Vegans are dumb
Very dumb. They don't understand simple nature
Really? Everytime I hear the word vegan I think.. health freak
Lol. Most vegans are VERY healthy.
Because a lot of them go about it wrong.
Because humans are not made for being vegetarian
Or vegan for that matter
