Does birth control affect the results off a laparoscopy?

I read a post where someone had stated they were off birth control for three months before laparoscopy because apparently hormonal treatment makes endometriosis smaller. Is that true? When I went for a laparoscopy a few years ago, I'm pretty sure I did come off it, but only for a week before surgery (as instructed). After the laparoscopy, my gynaecologist told me I was "perfectly healthy" and that I didn't have endo. After years of pain, my gp has finally diagnosed me with it (despite negative laparoscopy), But could birth control affected the outcome?

I've definitely tried asking. Ever since my laparoscopy came back negative, not many doctors have believed me, or just keep putting me back on bc. I asked my gynaecologist that if it is endo, why is it missed, and she just said it could be because it was too small. She wants to avoid surgery all together, but says if the pain persists, I can potentially go for one in anther 3-5 years. I am worried about how much it will grow. I don't want to be on bc forever. I was just curious if bc could be the cause of my missed endo

So they say the birth control working? Sit tight for a while. Then get a separate and new opinion in six months or something, unless new symptoms present.

So when I'm on bc, they have told me to skip all my periods. I am only allowed a period when there is break through bleeding. However, I didn't like doing it. When it would breakthrough bleed, it would be a lot. And then when I came off it, there was a lot of annoying problems. However, it did completely take the pain away when I had no periods. I am still off bc. They are trying to get me back on it after this cycle, but I want to wait till closer to the end of the year so I am taken seriously. I want to go to an endo specialist, but there is none from where I am from.

Have you asked for a different kind of birth control? Just to try?

Thank you! I've tried so many different types of bc to skip periods. But I wanted to be off it for a while

Well there's a sector for health questions. And these aren't questions you just randomly go to your gp for when it's expensive and busy. If someone is here that is aware or might know the answer, I would rather reach out here. I'm not asking for a diagnosis, but a better understanding on this
