If I’m going for a ride or a hike, anything outdoors I generally don’t take music. If I’m working out on the stationary or some other means of exercise inside the house I usually go for low intensity but rambling music. For some reason I really like listening to Bob Dylan in his early years. There’s a few Ben Folds songs that really do it for me, mostly anything off rock in in the suburbs. I go for music that puts me n a cheery mood

I train at very high intensity for short periods though (I'm a sprinter but even when I'm not running, I tend to train that way). This wouldn't exactly work for me for a marathon. :-D

honestly, I have so much good music I love, I just hit shuffle and it comes up with winners all the time.
I use Spotify. It is handy both for workouts and when I am driving Uber. My music is pretty diverse and depends on my mood, but the songs that will always give me a boost no matter what are:

I love classical. My go to piece to get me pumped up is no contest, Shostakovitch 10 movement 2, or Mahler 5.
Shostakovitch 10 movement 2 has a fire and passion in it that transfers over to me, and Mahler 5 has so much energy that it forces me to take some of that energy.
Tend to workout in silence. You're not to bright if it takes loud noises to "motivate" you.
Sort of like the dipshit that doesn't start the day without one of their parents screaming at them.
