Well, ANY viral invasion can be warded off by a strong enough immune system; you don't start seeing symptoms until there're quite a few viral cells running around unchecked- and at any given time, there are FAR more viral cells than bodily cells in your body. But that's not something you want to rely on when you're talking about rabies! It's a nasty disease, and the number of people who survived all three stages without medical treatment can be counted on the fingers of one hand- and that hand belongs ho a fireworks salesman.
I recall reading some years ago about an attempt to make a vaccine; not sure if anything ever came of that, though.

nope... it might be possible that a person could survive to a very weak strain of the rabies infection
