Is it possible to get rabies if you got some mouse spit on you without knowing and accidently rubbed your eyes with?

Small rodents like hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, rats, and mice are almost never found to be infected with rabies and have not been known to transmit rabies to humans. Even if it bit you, it would be nearly impossible to contract rabies from a mouse.
Why? Almost any animal can have rabies if they were bit by one that had it. Of course he didn't say if it was from a pet store or wild.
If a mouse had rabies, I feel like it would do more than spit on you. Animals tend to be violent when infected with rabies. If they were close enough to spit, they more likely would bite or attack, not just spit.
