" Traffic jam eh " because there was so many of us biking 🤣🤣
Have you noticed an increase of people cycling?

" Traffic jam eh " because there was so many of us biking 🤣🤣
No. Not where I live. I used to cycle a LOT when I was young. It was pretty popular. Now there are not nearly as many people. One reason for that is because there is so much more traffic that it's a lot more dangerous. There is no way I'd feel safe riding the same places I used to ride.
With less people riding, the cars are not on the lookout for them like they used to be. Car drivers always did consider bikes as an obstacle to get around. They'd pass so close that I could reach out my hand and touch the car. Now they don't even look for you, because there are so few riders that they don't expect them.
Personally I think it's a great sport. It's great exercise. It's a big stress reliever. It's really satisfying riding and seeing the world at a slower pace instead of speeding past so fast that you miss everything. With walking and jogging you can't really get very far from home. With riding, you can get out in the country and enjoy the fresh air and chill out. The riding radius is large enough that you can ride every day without riding the same few routes all the time. It's a super satisfying sport and fantastic exercise. It's something I think everyone should do.
I started doing it again a couple years ago. Me and a few of my co-workers at the time started bringing our bikes to work and riding them sometimes during our lunch breaks. We also rode longer rides on days off sometimes. It is pretty cool. I got a road bike for the first time. i used to only ride a mountain bike. I even got one of those bike computers that shows how far you traveled, the grade (incline/decline), your max and average speed, and the route you took. There is an app called Strava that you can upload your stuff to and link it with your bike riding friends.
I have. My city has been making great strides in de-car-ing the place. Especially the downtown. Bike lanes are more prevalent everywhere.
Most people who work downtown bike once the weather's nice. It's about as fast as driving, traffic moves quicker, you workout on your way to and from home, and there's no parking fees.
Biking is fuckin' awesome.
It depends on what state or country you live in. I live in a state next to New York and its big on cycling and I am so happy to be apart of that group now. Although my bike is simply a 9 gear dutch bike that I use as my car. My glutes and legs look amazing! Twerking in the mirror has never been more pleasurable

I was just noticing that, because I almost hit several of them on my way to work.
I have nothing against cyclists, but at least in my area, they are a menace. Ignoring road signs, riding three or four abreast in the middle of the road, darting out in traffic, etc.
And, of course, if I hit them, I'm the bad guy.
Yes because the pandemic and recent bus assaults makes people scared to take buses. I remember you saying you were from my province so I’m referring to assaults that happened in my province.
Yes, I mean Ontario
not here where I live... lol
Summer just started and we're going to hit the 100+ F's
During the pandemic there was a lot more people riding bikes but most of them went back to work. So i looks pretty much what it did 3 years ago.
Healthy has become of importance these days. So every time there's either a jogger or a cyclist.
Getting so used to it
In my morning walks, i see increment in people who do cycling
I always push them into the hedge as i drive past them and it seems to me, at least in my area that their numbers are declining.
You wouldn't get away with running me off the road... I'm no stranger to nabbing plate numbers of jerks who think they have that right and reporting it to the police. Around here, they'll try charging you with attempted vehicular assault/manslaughter... Especially with video evidence. I never ride the streets without my go pro.
@TheoPfeifle Shove your faggot camera up your ass and develop a sense of humour.
Yeahhh... Because vehicular assault is funny.
@TheoPfeifle No.. the OP asked if i had noticed an increase in the number of cyclists; suggesting the number is declining due to vehicular assault is funny (because cyclists are slow as fuck and therefore cause delays, additional polution and expense and quite frequently disobey the rules of the road for example they dont like to stop so they carve you up and ignore red lights etc and because some of them are like you, angry humourless cunts that like to film people.)
So next time you jump a red light you go ahead and use your camera footage to report yourself.
You won't ofcourse but please do ensure that you shut the fuck up and get the fuck out of my face.
The fact that you are assuming that all cyclists are like that is completely erroneous. Are you sure you're not just projecting your crappy attitude about people onto others? Even jokingly, running people off the road is flat out assault, and has the potential to kill someone. If someone runs a red light in front of you, that's on them, yes... But you swerving to run them off the road is on you. The way your comment is worded, it paints the picture that you are intentionally running people off the road, before they've done anything to you. Tell me again how I'm the one with the problem, here...
@TheoPfeifle You really are an epically retarded cunt.
The reason you are the problem is obvious; you are taking a joke personally, that is literally what it means to not have a sense of humour, its not about you, its not real, its just a joke, you dont want to laugh fine, you dont think its funny, fine, but dont go on some moral crusade about it you fucking ass clown.
It is astonishing how fucking dumb you are.
Now fucking shut up and fuck off while you are doing it or better still just go and fucking hang yourself and that isn't a joke, you really should do that.
This isn't a forum for joking around about pushing people off the road and killing them. It's not even a funny joke, in the first place. I'm sorry your sense of humor relies on violence against others. I do have a sense of humor. The problem, here, is that humor is really subjective. It's very opinion based. What I find funny, you might not. What you find funny, I might not. Quite frankly, violence against others is not something I find amusing. Stop berating me as if it's a fact that your joke is funny... It's an opinion. Opinions are not facts, and you have no right to get mad at me about it. I'm not even mad at you. I'm just saying that if you were to do something like that, you would get arrested. It's not funny.
@TheoPfeifle Whether or not you or anyone finds what i said funny is completely irrelevant, the reason you are getting flak is for not being able to grasp that what I said was a lie, the sole purpose of which was to be humourous.
The first time you responded, maybe you didn't realise that, perhaps some thing is lost in translation or whatever but after i explictly fucking explained it to you that was the point at which you should just shut the fuck up about it.
You see beyond that point what you are doing is dictating, not just to me, but to the entire world 7.95 billion people, what they are allowed to make jokes about.
That makes you an unbelievably massive cunt and I have no idea why you think for even a moment that its going to be ok for you to take up that position.
As if all that wasn't bad enough, you didn't even understand the fucking joke and are angry about something which didn't even happen, the joke isn't about violence, it is about how inappropriate it is to use violence.
So for the final time hopefully.
Shut your fucking ignorant cunt mouth and fuck off while you are doing it.
Good sir, I think you are failing to see my point. Joke or not, it's not funny... It is offensive, and it is completely relevant. If you intend to be humorous, talking about seriously injuring people is not a very good way to go about it... I fail to understand how it is an illustration of the inappropriateness of violence... If anyone is a voice against violence, it would be myself, speaking up against the act of running someone off the road.
I would also like to add that I'm not the one who is resorting to name calling, because their position is being challenged... Not sure I'm the cunt, here.
Allow me to sum it up this way.
If it wasn't for people having actually run me off the road, intentionally, laughing about it, before, and then having them charged with attempted vehicular assault, I would agree with you that it would be obvious that you are being satirical in your comment... But, since it is something that I have personally experienced, I can tell you that there are people out there who don't think that it is satirical. There are people who would be taking you seriously, and agreeing with you. That, sir, is why I find it highly unamusing. I have experienced it.
Your comment is insensitive to the fact that these things actually do happen.
@TheoPfeifle This is exactly what I have been saying to you though, you dont like it because you have taken it personally.
You have decided to assign to me blame for the actions of other people.
But I am not responsible for what other people do and even if such a person as you describe does take it seriously that doesn't alter the fact that I was making a joke and you were explicitly told that.
Sucks (for you... No skin off my back) that you're mad I don't find it amusing, in the slightest. While we're being opinionated, here (you finding it funny is your opinion), I honestly find the type of humor that relies on wanton violence to be particularly low brow, unintelligent, uncreative, inconsiderate, and just plain cruel... Says a lot about your character. Furthermore, you say that I'm dictating what's funny... Yet, you insist that I should find it funny... Hypocritical, much? Then, the name calling.
As far as responsibility goes... You may not be making anyone choose to do it; however, one must wonder if they would have concocted the idea on their own, had they not read it here. Am I directly blaming you for anyone's actions? No. I am, however, assigning some responsibility for propagating hostile ideology.
@TheoPfeifle You can't even be fucking honest.
You are a total fucking degenerate, go fuck yourself.
I have no idea what the hell I lied about, here.
You think I'm lying about being run off the road? Were you there?
You think I'm lying about where I'm assigning blame? I think I've been quite clear about your tasteless joke propagating hostile ideology.
Honestly, I have no idea what you're talking about, when you say I can't be honest. I've been quite frank with you, and I think you're a piece of shit. That's the first time I've called you a name. Turd.
@TheoPfeifle
Quote (you) : Yet, you insist that I should find it funny... Hypocritical, much?
Quote (me) : Whether or not you or anyone finds what i said funny is completely irrelevant, the reason you are getting flak is for not being able to grasp that what I said was a lie, the sole purpose of which was to be humourous.
"The sole purpose of which was to be humorous"
That pretty well implies that you find it funny, and you're getting all butt hurt that I'm not finding it funny. You say that I am trying to dictate what is humorous, and your attitude is essentially insisting that I should find it humorous, thereby dictating your sense of humor upon me, as well. Again, hypocritical much? Are you getting it, yet?
If you weren't insistent that I should find it funny, there wouldn't be an argument, in the first place. Lol
My whole argument is that it's not humorous. You're mad about my opinion. That anger seems to imply that you think I should find it humorous. A person doesn't have to explicitly say something, to implicitly express something.
I'm starting to realize that you were going to continue to try to run me in circles, and that's rather toxic behavior. I'm going to bow out of this conversation, knowing where I stand, and knowing where you stand. We are on opposite sides of a line, and that's just how it is. There's no reason for you to be mad at me that I find your sense of humor to be insensitive to the fact that those things do happen. It's also insensitive to the fact that some people are going to see this and think it's a funny idea and then they'll go out and do it.
I am advocating compassion for people, and you're advocating that running people off the road is funny... But, I'm the degenerate? Riiiiight...

@TheoPfeifle I am not running you in circles. I haven't changed my position, at all.
The reason that you feel like you are going around in circles is quite simple, you are not capable of considering that you might be wrong, you are so certain that you are the good guy and I am the bad guy that you keep trying to work out how that is the case.
You just can't process how it could be possible that someone as foul mouthed as I am could possibly know better than you.
But you are the bad guy, aside from calling you a cunt a great many times I haven't done anything wrong, I am not guilty of any of the crimes you assign to me.
All of this, this whole thread is about your ego.
Its all mental gymnastics.
You can run away if you want, I dont give a shit, you are the one with the problem here and if you took a step back from this and took one honest look at yourself for the first fucking time in your entire life you would see how all this is born out of your bad experiences.
Well boo fucking hoo.
You dont have the fucking monopoly on grief you arrogant prick and if you had your way and no one in the world was ever allowed to make a joke about something that might upset someone else there would be no more laughter, I can't imagine anything worse.
You think you are the compassionate one? Fuck off are you. There are a lot of people out there who have to deal with really fucking awful shit all the time and one of the main tools they use to get through that is humour, dark humour and you would deny it them.
So yes, absolutely a thousand times yes, you are most fucking certainly the degenerate here.
I didn't say anything about you changing your position. I said you were going to run me in circles... Bouncing back and forth between two different points. The first point You have tried to make is that I should lighten up because it's just a joke. The second point that you were trying to make is that it is funny. My rebuttal to the first point is that many people are going to think you are being serious, because it is something that does happen. My rebuttal to the second point is that even if it were taken as a joke, it's not even a funny one.
That pretty much sums it up, I think, when it comes to the logical portions of this discussion.
The rest of it, however, I'm not even going to address, because it's your unchecked emotions, getting mad at me because I disagree with your opinion about the humor.
Sorry, dude... Your sick sense of humor is what makes you a degenerate. If a person is relying on twisted humor as a coping mechanism, they need to reevaluate their coping mechanisms. Negative talk is not a positive coping skill. Lmao
Really and honestly, all this boils down to an opinion. You have the opinion that it's funny, and I have the opinion that it's not. Humor is subjective. You're trying to argue it like it's objective.
Opinions are not facts.
Honestly, we could probably drop the debate about the second point, altogether, because it is subjective. Rather than debate about whether or not it's humorous, The number one point that concerns me the most is that people are going to take you seriously... That is not opinion based, at all. It's a simple fact that some people will take you seriously.
And when a person takes a suggestion to run cyclists off the road seriously, that's when I start to have a problem... It is, quite frankly, vehicular assault.
@TheoPfeifle This is nothing to do with whether or not it is funny and everything to do with you going on a fucking crusade because someone hurt your feelings.
I’ve seen more older people biking which is great. I love biking but my bike is broken.
whats preventing you from fixing it? And what kind of bike do you have?
yeah gas is expensive right now lol. im sure you noticed
can you do any stunts on your bike? :P
Probably a direct correlation with astronomical fuel prices...
Kind of but it is summer time here and I’m one of them
Many of them pretend to be cycling for fitness but they're actually twisting on the throttle of their electric bikes.
In recent news, soaring gas prices are ending obesity, lol
No, but it's a good idea for them to do so.
Not where I live, no. Where do you live?
I'm not surprised, have you seen those gas prices?
No, not where I live.
more bus riders too
Which bike you have?
Yes...
