My brother is dying of cancer and he is only 55 , how many here have lost a brother or sister under 60?

Question

I can't believe he is going to die at 55. He has been given less than a week to live. I am 53 myself. I feel terrible about it but not much I can do. I saw him today for the last time.

It's unfortunate that someone loses a sibling at any age. My older brother passed away from complications of type 2 diabetes (had amputation of lower leg from knee down not sure which leg) combined with heart disease at the age of 69. He was an ass majority of my life growing up (I'm now 69 years of age-brother was 7 years older), after my father died (also at age of 69) my brother "disown me" stating to his middle son that he had no little sister. He and my older sister (who hasn't spoken to me since June 1989 she's now 74 years of age) were taken out of my father's will. So even though he was a total ass for years he was still my brother, am happy he's no longer alive for personal reasons. My sincere condolences to you and your family knowing that your brother is only in mid 50's and will be passing away.

I lost my cousin that I grew up with in January, he was like a brother to me. He was only 32 so it was rough. Hope you’re okay😞

Cure him! Baking soda and 100% pure maple syrup. It has to be mixed over heat, though. If you're interested, I'll tell you how. In the meantime, have him eat LOTS of greens and cut out sugar! All cancer means is that your body is too acidic. It needs to be made more alkaline. Greens will help a lot with that. Sugar is what makes it acidic.
Both of my parents had cancer but I didn't know how to cure it before dad died. I DID cure mom's, though.

I lost my brother in a crash when he was 46.
I miss him a lot, but unfortunately we hadn't been talking much in the years before it happened. It's shocking, and there's always guilt that you couldn't help him.

I have not lost a brother, but have lost a cousin. I have also had stage 4 cancel and was fortunate enough to beat it. I can totally empathize with you and your situation. It is certainly a tough time for you and your family. Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do…. Just try to be there as much as you can with the limited time available.

I haven't lost a sibling to cancer. I've lost a grandma to leukemia in 2015 she was 65. My step mom is currently fighting brain and lung cancer she in her late 40's Dr. gave her a year to live. I'm sorry your dealing with this right now.

I have two close friends that have died. One of cancer at 42 the other of kidney failure at 44. it is never east. I m sorry for what you are goin g through. My father died relatively young and it was hard to go though.

No, I haven't lost any siblings and my oldest sibling is 30, almost 31. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope you and your family get through it.

That sucks but no siblings, they are younger than me, but my mom died at 57 from cancer many years ago. I hope it’s not hereditary
