Is it normal to poop a lot during pregnancy?

My sister is 6 months pregnant. Yesterday I visited her and she went to the toilet like 5 times. She said she goes at least 3 times a day. Is this normal during pregnancies? My mom somehow had been giving her smoothies, salads, and many other stuff made of fruits and veggies to keep her and the baby healthy.

Did she say she was pooping in all of those five times? Pregnant women do urinate much more frequently, because the baby presence up against all the organs and so there is less room to hold. I would assume that is true for defecation as well, so I would not be very concerned, personally.

I would say better out than in. Constipation would be much worse. Good question for her doctor though.

Yes. Higher estrogen makes you belch, fart, and poop more, which is why women tend to belch, fart, and poop more than men. This is especially true during pregnancy when estrogen is highest

That doesn't sound normal, but she might eaten something that was bad for her system.
