Why am I still bleeding after iud?

Hi so I got the Mirena iud inserted and I was lightly spotting after insertion. It stopped and then a week later I got my period, it lasted me 3 weeks so far. For 2 weeks it was really heavy and the third week it’s like brown and it’s not gone yet. Is this normal?

Never used on. So don’t know. My guess… your body need adjustment to a “foreign” object.
call your OBGYN.

Call the office of the gynecologist who you got this from and get his/her opinion. Don't go by anything anyone on this site says.
