For all those saying there are none are wrong. There has been several medical studies citing that when the elderly are packing extra pounds it can mean all the difference between breaking a hip or not. Also you many or may not be aware is that a broken hip can end up ending the life of a spry elder who was otherwise still full of life.

It gives your muscles a workout without even exercising, which helps maintain strong bones. More of a benefit to women though, as men don't have to worry about bones until they're in their 70s

There are certain illnesses and injuries where overweight people have a better survivability rate. But to use this as a reasoning to be overweight would be very silly.
