Girls, Did your period stop when you started the mini pill?

I started taking the mini pill (progestin-only) two days ago when my period started. My doctor had told me to start on the first day of my period. It felt like my period was really going to be heavy. But then it kind of… stopped? I’ve only taken two pills so far and nothing has come running out of my cat… it’s mostly just feeling like brown discharge now. Did this happen to anyone else? I know the mini pill can stop your period over time due to it stopping ovulation in some women, but does it start reducing your bleed right off the bat when you start it on your period? I mean I am not complaining at all, but would love to know if other people have experienced this. I had a copper IUD for the longest time so I am trying to get my brain back to thinking about the pill and how it works. I’ve actually never had a progestin-only pill before either, sooo hence my query.

Tbh I can’t remember if this happened, but the mini pill is the one that is highly likely to stop or reduce your periods by frequency or they can be very short.
I know I didn’t have periods at all.
