My gym like randomly moved the location of all the equipment / machines?

i went in there yesterday and like everything was in a different spot , other than the change rooms which cannot be moved and the tread mills were still along the front windows. but like everything else is in a different spot

i didn't mind the new set up but changes the make up and location of a lot of things and view is different

is this normal for a gym to do this , i've heard its normal for bars/restaurants to change things up every few years but less clear if gyms do that too

I knew grocery stored did that so that frequent shoppers are "forced" to view new items when they shop. It could be that the gym had the same few pieces of equipment being used and lots that were underused so they put them next to each other to try to moderate usage.

i don't think they added any new equipment , its all the same , is also 2 things that are broken , a treadmill but a special running one and a steps machine ( you walk up it like walking up the stairs ) is 2 but 1 has been broke for a long time and just sitting there
