Trending & News I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and have to use a CPAP machine every night. Some nights I get one or two hours of sleep if I am lucky.

I have that, too. I have a CPAP machine that I used to use all the time... but it's dwindled down to really and I must get back to it. The last time I used it was last week.
However, did you know that you can use the masks that are less invasive and let you move around more? I used to have a nasal and face one, but now I use one that covers only the nose--and it's small and covers only the nose. SO I breathe in pure oxygen and when I use it, I notice that I get good, clean air while I sleep. After about 5 or 6 hrs, I take it off and can smell the pollution in the air right away.
I tried out the little one that just fits over the nose ad all it did was make me breath through my mouth. I really do not mind the thing on my face, i hate that it leaks once it starts cranking. I have started to design a better mask and I want to build a prototype out of some old mask and some tubing. The thing really needs to be a closed system with a return tube.
Yes, the small nose mask made me ask for a chin strap to keep my mouth from opening. I can only sleep for about 4-6 hrs with it on, on top of that I wake up too easily. I have a cat that meows at 4:00am (he's senile) and that doesn't help. I think that your idea about designing a better mask is ideal. Good luck. AT least you're using it--I was like that and I've get to get back on doing that.
by the way, in NJ I had a doctor that knew my CPAP machine came with a memory card that records how often, and how long you use the machine. That's why I was forced to use it. Here, the doctor is unaware, and they don't monitor how often you use it.
Diabetes (type 2). I’ve nearly reversed my diagnosis with diet and exercise. However, it’s exhausting to plan every meal/snack etc to make sure it suits my nutritional needs. Especially when I am on the go so frequently.
Thank you so much! It’s an ongoing journey.

How do you operate on such little sleep? I would be a Zombie with that little sleep. I think we all know that sleep deprivation causes all kinds of problems because you don't get the needed REM sleep that is required for our health, mental or other.
see my post on "grounding", try using a grounding strap at night. My initial test of this system is... I breathe better and am more rested. For a minor cost you can experiement.
Try something, don't believe the BS of diagnosis... it's just a sign something needs to change, that's all.
yes, I wish I didn't have to deal EMF's all over the place all the time. constant battle to keep bluetooth and wifi off...
lol. see wizard of oz, tin man rusted up:) in my current experiment with such device, I think this helps with breathing, which is big part of health. definitely worth a try. can make one yourself...
No… till recently. I noticing my body changing due to aging. So I bought a few pair of pants a size bigger. I no longer fit in my old stuff I own since my 20s.
im not sure if I should accept getting old… or fight..,
I read so many as we get older… we change in one way or the other… consider… I think I have been pretty healthy my whole life and living a very good life.
I am okay aging gracefully with a little weight gain… Howecer I would do what i can to avoid doctors and meds… I sleep well and eat well. What else to ask for 😝
what is the cause of your sleep apnea?
🤦♀️
So it’s not cover by your insurance?
Can’t sleep because you have a lot in your mind?
@exitseven Just like pregnant women can get gestational diabetes when pregnant. But at least it goes away when you have your baby. For all science knows you could have gotten it from your mother when she was pregnant with you.
@midnightmoon05 It is covered by insurance. It is a pretty big moneymaker for these companies. I do have a lot on my mind but I have had that for the last 30 years.
You got your answer…how can anyone not get sick one way or other…holding onto 30 years. of worries/concerns.
Your body find ways to tell you something to is not right.
Well, there is this thing called heredity I heard about. I sure got some crap from my parents. 😔
I had cataract surgery a couple years ago. I now have 20/20 vision in my left eye for distance but more like 20/150 in my right (dominant) eye due to glaucoma. The pressure in both eyes is high and I have to put two drops in each eye twice a day.
I have to wear reading glasses to see up close. What a drag. I used to have great vision.
Another thing that occurs to me is our driveway. It's gravel, 4/10 of a mile long at a 12% grade with switchbacks. It needs maintenance and I've been procrastinating. It's not in terrible condition but the washboards and bumps make is unpleasant to drive on.
Unless i am tired, i barley sleep about 3-4 hours. Did you get better using the machine? My mother in law will get one on January 2023. I wish to get rid of diabetes that i got since 1997, for the last 25 years i have never felt normal nor unique, i lost my chance to be an athlete (where i was at young age, they didn't take diabetics in sports) my kidneys will fail at some point no matter how good i take care of my self, my skin is bad 30% of the time and i use lotion all the time. I work out, my stomach just gives up at times because of my diet, and i take 4 injektions every single day until the day i die. They are not painful, but doing it for 25 years without skipping a day, it kind of breaks me down at some point.
Is your diabetes the result of diet or inheritance? Do you have to take insulin and watch your diet pretty closely?
@Daniela1982 insulin injections, yes. I have gluten allergy too that diabetes can cause. I got my diabetes because my body had a kind of unfamiliar bacteria and went on automatic self defense and led to my pancreas shutting down.
Not really... i mean that butt scar is awful but made me grateful. So life may slap me with a burning iron stamp but also give me a very good box of treats later.
Migraines and Ashtma. My migraines are very severe and nothing really helps (I've tried all the medications and home remedies) and my asthma is severe as well... I have to get injections every now and then.
Try mixing coffee with lemon juice to lower insulin resistance and aid in your weight loss. Take lions mane medicinal mushrooms to help you sleep and five defenders if you have a weak immune system. If you have heart disease, a vegetarian diet can reverse it and you can have health proteins like mozzarella cheese which also has tryptophan that helps you when your carbs are low. Meditation works just as well as antidepressants so spend $14.00 on a CD and put it in your CD player.
Watch this, and you'll understand what is causing it and how to fix it.
There is someone in that video that sleeps with a CPAP machine and gets off it.
I wish I didn't have to deal with chronic acid reflux, people who have no common sense, joint pain and the state tax department
I'd be a happy person if I didn't have to deal with them
I had to have surgery for reflux
That's my last option
Yes, a lot of things:
My job
my psoriasis
my bad hand
the list could go on, but I’ll stop here lol
Constant, non stop pain, chronic pain that never goes away unless I get high, or on pain meds or something like that.
Lately, dry cracked heels. Worse and more painful than it sounds.
That could be ticklish.
Yeah my stomach intestinal issues once I turned 23 it started & then I turned 26 and it became 3x worse lol i have started to eat healthy and cut out all red meat and eat mostly non gmo products and barely anything processed.
I mostly make all my food from scratch. I also never eat fast food very very rarely but it will be rarely. But it can be a bitch to deal with if I eat the wrong thing.
Working or living around women (especially attractive ones) when I'm hopelessly single.
That sucks about the sleep apnea thing. I have that too, and can only sleep unassisted if I lay on my stomach to breathe.
Edema, living here instead MY house, being somewhat poor, being constantly alone, not having a girlfriend, not having kids ad a dog, not being in a band or some other job I've always wanted.
Doctors want to remove large chunks of me. Specialists have other preserving ways but insurance is being a bitch. Something about cosmetic being the alt route. I call it life and death, but I’m just the theoretical patient.
I have a bad case of dandruff that I have to use strong shampoos on my hair at least every two days. I wish I didn't have to do that.
Sharing ONE bathroom.
People survived with just an outhouse too, but I need my hot shower, skin care routine, blow dryer, makeup, annnnnnd the toilet. Preferably in a bathroom with air I can breathe, no long line, a dry bathmat, and zero other people's stuff. 😇
I wish! Then I would have 8 or 10 bathrooms! 👑
As a one percenter, I'd hire people to do that for me.
I must admit that cleaning is the easiest part about having only 1 bathroom.
Sadly
Yes, there are time slots and arguments.
I bought my own bathmat, but the rest is hard to battle. Maybe I should let myself go.
I sweat too easy and too much.. Even in winter... People usually underestimate it but it makes life much more difficult...
@Rockstarrrr I know there is a name for that but forgot what the condition is called.
@Daniela1982 it's not extreme.. I don't get sweaty palms or something... But it's way above average I think something is unbalanced... I'm gonna check with a doctor soon...
Before I lost weight I was sweating all the time, especially if I was nervous. I no longer have the problem after losing 60 pounds.
@Daniela1982 yeah I'm almost sure it's about stress and nutrition..
Nutrition... Not diet... I'm overweight at all

Why do you only get one or two hours of sleep?
@exitseven What happens if you don't wear it?
