I'm not a weight-loss expert, and your doctor should be able to answer your question, or suggest ways to lose weight.
I do understand that you can lose up to 5 pounds in the first week as water weight. After that, though, it becomes harder, and losing 2 pounds a week would be pretty good. So, do the math: 20-5=15, divided by 2 = about 8, so my guess is that it would take (ideally) about 2 months to lose 20 pounds.

two pounds a week is a good pace. However body fat percentage is a better measurement for healthy body. If you start an exercise program and build muscle and lose fat you might not lose much weight because muscle tissue weighs 8 times what abn equal volume of fat weighs.

2 to 3 pounds a week. So I'd say two to three months.
Which to me, isn't even worth it.I would expect at least 10 weeks. The good news, just the very act of starting exercise will improve your blood pressure.
Did you ask your doctor what a reasonable amount of time is?
A healthy way is maximum 4-5 pounds/month
