Sometimes- you only get the effect if it has real ginger in it, though; many don't. These days, I typically just take a piece of crystallized ginger.

Gingerale doesn't have much real ginger in it nowadays so I use Jaimacan gingerbeer

Yea, you can also treat certain kinds of nausea with head movements that realign parts of your ear. Hard candies also help sometimes.
