Yes, a new variant (Variant XBB.1.5) is on its way to cause havoc, mainly among those that have not yet been vaccinated.

And even if you have had all your vaccination and booster, that new variant is very likely to get you as well.

The recent news about China ending the confinement will have harrowing consequences on the world health because now that people that have been living in China can travel again, it will take just a few weeks for the world to be hit by this new variant. A number of countries have implemented tests for people arriving from China but not every country.
