As we know there are 2 things that are very common among modern day women::

1. Lack of accountability for ones actions

2. Love for being a victim

In the above clip, Matt talks about a recent event that has gone viral, involving a modern day woman, who complains about a a man staring at her for too long. The woman I might add was recording herself at the gym in tight fitting short for her followers on social media and possibly onlyfans.

Many commentators both on twitter and on youtube have stated reasons for why the man may have been looking at her, such as possibility of him checking to see if the equipment she is using is free, so he can use it. Some pointed out that men are visual creatures that may have a desire to look at women when they go to the gym dressed up like this (see below).

Some even pointed out that by her being hyper aware of him staring at her that she might have been the one creeping on him, thus making him stare back at her. With that being said, the gym environment and many mixed gender spaces have become insufferable due to so many women complaining about men for any minute of reasons just so they can be a victim on social media. With that being said, do you think we should have male and female only gyms in order to stop all these gender related issues when it comes to working out?

There are female-only gyms. In Massachusetts, Healthworks is a women's only gym and if you're a woman that is self-conscious and uncomfortable with coed gyms then you can join that.

If you want to make an all-male gym then Adam Smith's invisible hand will either make that idea a blockbuster success or a flailing disaster. But no one is stopping anyone from trying that out that concept.

However, to mandate that gyms must be unisex is not going to happen because if that's what the market wanted then businesses would have offered it en masse and coed gyms would have disappeared. But there are far far more coed gyms than unisex gyms and its been that way for decades. Plus, if women going to coed gyms were, in the aggregate, so turned off by getting "stared" at then they would all, in aggregate, go to female-only gyms, which I've pointed out is an option, and coed gyms would just, by self selection, become unisex without anyone mandating it. If that happens so be it. Time will tell.

The two girls in the Matt Walsh clip are fringe cases (kind of like far left and far right political nutjobs since they represent the minority female gym goers). I've been going to a big coed gym for 12 years straight and have never encountered anything like this personally or witnessed it happening to someone else. I see girls staring at themselves in the mirror and taking pictures of their asses sticking up and out and simply assume that they are just extremely self absorbed and don't give it any more thought than it deserves. I do a quick stare to make sure that when they post their ass pic that its not going to crash the Internet but the quick stare is only to do that risk assessment.

Finally the two girls in the Walsh clip are nothing more than average at best - they wouldn't even register on most guys radar. Both are simply creating controversy because they lack self-esteem and claiming guys are gawking at them because that's the only way they know how to artificially boost that low self-esteem. They're trying to shame the guys but in fact all they are doing is making themselves look like low self-esteem average petty attention seekers. I agree with Walsh's theories as to the alternative reasons why guys might be "staring" at these girls (all the non-pervert reasons he listed) but disagree that these instances are overwhelming reasons to create unisex gyms.

I put they should have separate gyms... but then you'll get the next problem, Men that call themselves girls will be all up in their gym and showing their big fat woman-dicks off in the showers. Where will the women go then?

The left has taken everything that was normal and has just made it all fucking weird. I digress.

I think part of the problem is these people bringing cameras into the gym, for reasons of getting attention on TikTok... Most of the freakouts I've seen thus far... is from what I call the new version of Tumblr.

No. I like working out with my husband. Plus, men don't bother me at the gym any more than they bother me at the grocery store. I'm constantly being looked at by men everywhere I go. I've learned that a man starring at a woman is only an issue if the woman chooses to be offended or bothered by it instead of ignoring it. If I was to be bothered by men looking at me or hitting on me, I'd quite literally never be able to go out in public without being bothered and that's just a ridiculous way to live.

You're right about so many women now wanting to play the victim. Men aren't actually disrespectful in public most of the time. Most of the time it's just that the men are awkward or immature and don't know how to talk to women. I suspect that's why most women are bothered by being hit on, not because the men are actually being disrespectful or degrading. I've found that women are actually more disrespectful to men than the other way around. Most women can't have a conversation with other women without dissing a specific man or all men.

It's not lost on me that I get stared at at the gym. My typical attire is that of most women: yoga pants and a sports bra. I catch glimpses of PEOPLE, cause women do it too, staring at me just using gym equipment. I'm not recording myself. I may take the occasional selfie.

However I do draw the line at being leered at constantly to where it gives me the creeps. And when it does, my first action is to simply move elsewhere. If the same person keeps making me feel uncomfortable, then I just go to gym staff.

Segregating wouldn't solve anything as the problem can easily persist once I walk out the front door or leave the segregated area.

Personally I'd prefer gym staff take an active role in member behavior and not just take anyone put bandaids over it. Luckily, the staff at my gym do take that active role and will go talk to people they catch misbehaving.

I've never once been bothered at the gym, or even looked at, really. All the guys that go there are there to work out, even the fifteen-year-old ones. And honestly working out around guys has helped me get over a lot of my anxiety involving interacting with them, or not looking my best around them. It's a good way to mix, without 'mixing' so to speak. Plus, if I did have a boyfriend, I'd enjoy going to the gym with him, I think. It would be disappointing if we couldn't.

Of course, then there's the 'trans' thing. I feel tired just imagining the drama.

They shouldn't all be like that, but there's definitely a market for women only gyms rn. If someone opened one in my city it would get a lot of business. Believe it or not most women don't "love being a victim" and would happily avoid creeps if there was an alternative space for her to do so.

Yes. If there were female only gyms and men's only gyms, it would put an end to this BS. Women filming men without their permission in gyms under the guise of "they're creeps" is nothing but a liability to the gym owner. They can be sued for that. It's also disruptive to the other clientele at the gym, men and women alike. Likewise, there wouldn't be any creeps to film if there were no men in the women's gym. The entire problem disappears. It's gone. And the liability for gym owners plummets with it. They are far less likely to have sexual harassment claims. There is no downside to it.

there are womens gyms, they can go there if they want. what's next... age specific gyms? I could see that for teens...

I want gyms segregated by people who are responsible, clean equipment, and pick up after themselves. Make people pass a basic 1st grade test.

The other thing is, if people are curious, or bored, they just look around. Like I catch myself looking at houses when I'm going for a walk. It doesn't mean that I want to burgle it. I'm just a curious human being.

If I'm good with toilets been used for both my answer towards this is pretty obvious.
It's mostly people above my generation are bothered by such things and as time progresses those views will die off as the younger views carry on progressing.

Basically every gym I've ever gone to regularly was on an army base, and people didn't act this way. From that standpoint, I wouldn't think it necessary.

That said, if there's demand for it, I think someone could take the initiative and open a gym that splits its facilities in half for that purpose, and watch it succeed or fail.

Nope, you're going there to exercises. The equipment doesn't care what sex you are. If you have a personal problem with people looking at you due to what you personally choose to wear and the behavior you personally choose to carry out because the image you present to the world makes you uncomfortable, then maybe you need to do some self reflection and change your habits to better reflect how you want to present yourself to others.

In some regions in the USA, the only time you get to see a healthy woman is at the gym. So what if the guy is staring, maybe the woman should be flattered and just enjoy the fact God made her as a beautiful and desirable woman. What's so wrong with that? Men are not the enemy of women, and God isn't their enemy either.

Eh just because that one event happened doesn’t meant all gyms should be segregated. They do have female only gyms I’ve hear of and if you are really that uncomfortable with the chance of a guy looking at you go there. I don’t mind working out around men. I don’t assume a guy is checking me out because a guy looks at me. Sometimes you’re just in someone’s view lol.

No, of course guys will occasionally stare at girls at the gym, since gym girls are typically pretty attractive and wearing tight clothing, but that happens everywhere you go. It's natural and only a problem if it's excessive. Everyone should have a right to exercise, so unless we can segregate all of society to keep men from looking at women, then I say keep things the same.

I think segregation of keeping the men and women apart in a gym a bad thing. . Most of the men don't bother me or or it's only to ask if I'm using equipment. I know they might look sometimes, once you get to the workout you don't pay attention or notice if you're focused in your zone. It's normal to look at people, everyone looks at everyone even men look at other men.

I do not think gyms should be REQUIRED to keep men and women separated. That is none of the government's business. It might be a profitable marketing decision for gyms to voluntarily have separate areas form men and women although it would be expensive and probably would need to be evaluated on a location by location basis.

I am old enough to remember when gyms had a split schedule. The guys worked out on Tues, Thursday, Sat and Sunday and women worked out the rest of the days. The first time I went to a coed gym I thought I landed on Mars

Due to lovely double standards female only gyms can exist but it's against the law for male only gyms to exist. I think all gyms should be segregated that way guys aren't looking at females and making them uncomfortable and when I go to the gym, I don't have to worry about a tik tok thot blocking up a piece of equipment or area just to record her stupid videos.

I can see that the two video examples in the report don't show an inappropriate type of female watching at the gym. Watching the other sex is a part of going to the gym and in fact watching females at the gym helps men to get more motivation to train harder.

Most women wouldn't go to gyms if they were segregated- they can't get attention that way, and we all know that's the number one reason they're there, dressed like that, and constantly sticking their butt out.
