How do you fix neck pain please?

I've had bad neck pain for the past week. I take painkillers, rub deep heat on it and I'm currently wearing a scarf to help support my neck.

I sleep on the floor. I've had back pain from this but never neck pain. I'm currently round my parents house, looking after my siblings. So I sleep on the floor as I have no where else to sleep, it doesn't bother me. I sleep better on the floor anyways.

Just my neck is in a lot of pain. It's easy Sunday morning here so I can't call the doctors till tomorrow. Plus you all know I'm not keen on calling them due to my anxiety. Have you got any other methods that doesn't involve the doctors please?

My methods have always been either paying a masseuse to massage the painful area, or asking my boyfriend to do it since he’s good at massages, and also finding the source of the pain. For example, most of my shoulder/neck pain comes from the position that I sleep in. So I try to limit how often I sleep in that position.

Buy some Salonpas pain patches at Walmart or drug store.
Put 2 on the place of your neck where the pain is. These should help you.
Mt boyfriend just had neck pain and that's what he did. The next day it was gone.

Whisky when the painkillers wear off

Use a heating pad on it and alternate between ice packs and heat.
