What is the best treatment for back pain and neck pain?

It really depends on why your back and neck are causing you pain. But since I don't know, then I would say a dosage of Ibuprofen about 400 - 600 mg.
When taking Ibuprofen you must eat something with it - food or whole milk.

Ibuprofen will thin your blood.

Ibuprofen will cause your blood pressure medicine to stop working.

If you don't like taking pills then Salonpas pain patches work very well to relieve pain. Just plain Salonpas.
They come in all different sizes.
Don't buy the ones with Lidocaine written on the front of the package because they are very hard to handle. The pad bunches up and you'll probably have to throw it away.

Note: I am not a medical professional, but years of experience with neck, back, and any pain - these two things I mentioned work the best for over the counter home care.

It's always best to see a doctor for pain to find out the cause.
