I was an elite swimming during my youth.
Later, I was a keen recreational diver.
Now, I cannot go near the water because years of following the black line up and down the training pool has worn out my shoulders.
I receive occasional steroid injections into my shoulder joints to keep them functional. I cannot recommend the experience.
