It's natural for people to desire respect and validation from others, and these factors can certainly play a role in how individuals view themselves. However, it's important to remember that self-esteem and self-worth ultimately come from within, and are based on an individual's own beliefs, values, and experiences.

While external validation can be a helpful source of motivation and support, relying solely on the approval of others can lead to a lack of self-confidence and a sense of insecurity. It's important for individuals to cultivate a sense of self-acceptance and self-compassion, and to prioritize their own well-being and values rather than seeking validation from others.

Remember that everyone is unique and has their own strengths and weaknesses, and that it's okay to make mistakes and experience setbacks. Learning to love and accept oneself, flaws and all, can be a powerful source of strength and resilience in navigating life's challenges.

    to some degree yes.

people (especially men) who don't care about what others think of them or they don't seek some form of validation from society are seen as dangerous to the world and needs to be put down for good through any means necessary e. g. cancel culture, false imprisonment, assassination etc.

Not always. You can be self reassured and still like yourself. In fact, the most confident people I know are the ones who don’t give a damn about what other people think about them. Most people I know who rely on validation from others to feel comfortable in their own skin are always insecure because you can never be fully liked by everyone.

I think self love and reassurance is the only true way to really genuinely like yourself. People can’t really create that for you because people will all have different opinions of you.
