I’ve mental illness (I think PTSD, bipolar-type schizoaffective dis-order, and OCD). Therefore, people constantly make fun of me. Scares me out! I hope those ruddy folks will learn that being mad is just as normal as being sane.
Very well said
Thank You, brother! 🧡
Thank you too!
No problem and thanks again for MHO!
Somewhat, I've seen it first hand and it's a beast to deal with. It's like dealing with a computer that is all screwed up.
I don't want to live in fear, that isn't going to help my mental state.
That’s true

No, mental illness does not frighten me.
Fear is a product of ignorance.
I have been to crazy town. I have spent many nights reciting Macbeth and Hamlet to my Colt 1911 by candle light, after a female broke my heart. Sometimes it has been what comes of being a former soldier.
Every day, as part of my work, I deal with drug-fucked crazies, as well as people who are simply mentally ill.
So, no, mental illness does not frighten me.
So does your response to it leave you trepidatious?
No. What terrifies me is that having mental illness can make you seen and treated as sub-human. The possibility of being targeted and ostracized by people, the "justice" system, or a government, who all "just want to help." Losing rights. Losing control. Losing all social safety. That's what I'm terrified of.
That’s 💯 % legit in my book
No but there is just so much of it around I just have to wonder if we are just a country of crazy people. Look who we have for a president.
Knowing that nobody is immune and can develop a mental illness isn't something that's fun to think about. But then I remember that I'm surrounded by good people who wouldn't enable me. that would make it easier to treat my mental illness and control it.
That’s awesome
It can. Sometimes (not always) it can lead to dangerous and violent outcomes as we see almost weekly it seems in my country.
That’s true
Some do, some don’t. Those that are manageable, and that people work to manage, don’t scare me. It’s those mental illnesses that lead individuals to want to harm others, and that are unmanaged or uncontrollable that are terrifying.
200% agree with those that hurt others being terrifying
I never thought much about it until i’ve seen several people throughout the usa struggling during the pandemic. Its so sad to see
I agree
Absolutely not. I’m a huge mental health advocate. People should do everything they can to get the help they need.
200% agree
You should have put a 3rd option.
Because there are various versions. Some are not serious and not a threat at all.
Some are not a threat if properly mainted, and some are very scary, and very dangerous to themselves and others
Explainations are always a 3rd option. But you are right.
I mostly meant it as a self reflection
Nope, people don't understand the peace they find when they don't fear death.
True 4 sure
kinda? i do scared if someone i know is a very rough spot and i think they're at that breaking point.
Without a doubt. Apparently it can switch off at any moment.
You hit it right on the head there.
no...
but Walmart bathrooms do..
As they definitely should 💯 %
Some not a lot it does to a point it just depends on how much they are.
God Bless
No, why would that scare someone?
Excellent question. My own terrifies me
Drugs?
No drugs
Because they aren’t available, or because you don’t want them?
Are you talking mental illness, prescriptions or street drugs?
It’s a catch 22. I want a clear mind, and I took a prescription as a teen that was like a bad bad terrifying trip
So try another prescription.
Sounds stupid, probably. But I basically have ptsd, and then part of my PTSD is PTSD about PTSD. And my first experience with psychologist psychologists, was extremely traumatic and threatening. I’m all fucked up. 😑
My illness terrifies me as well as seeking help.
Is this bizarre?
Yup, sounds like a you problem.
Oh definitely
Yes because people generally don't care,,,
That’s a lonely supposition
ooh spooky
Most crazy fuckers are happy, so no.
