I just want to know because I've been seeing a lot of questions on it lately and I know I have one but I don't come on here to talk about it because it's honestly not something I like talking about but it is controlled by medicine.

You can just vote or talk about it anonymously. You don't have to discuss it if you don't feel comfortable.

I’ve dealt with PTSD and depression after some pretty crazy life experiences…

but ADHD has honestly been the most chaotic part for me lol.

It feels like having 20 tabs open in my brain and none of them want to close. I forget everything… where I put my phone, paperwork, pens… I forget to call people back, miss appointments, lose track of tasks mid-way. So many things I used to think were just me being “scatterbrained” were actually ADHD symptoms.

What’s funny is I also thrive under pressure/urgency. When I worked in medication passing, I was better than the friend who trained me because I’d hyperfocus and lock all the way in…

…but then I’d get home and realize I left my phone at work lmao.

ADHD is weird like that… you can be extremely sharp in high-stakes moments and completely forget basic things like five minutes later.

I'm not answering as anon because I am no longer ashamed of who I am. I have had to deal with some serious "Toxic Shame" as it is labeled, which is not classified by itself as "mental illness" but can be an underlying cause of some mental disorders such as depression, etc.

It took me a long time of struggling to find any self-acceptance and some days I still battle with very low self-esteem and all that. That's why I act out the way I do sometimes, which is no excuse, it's just my coping mechanism sometimes.

I'm not on any meds since I deal with it in a holistic approach and watch my diet. (Except during the holidays when I get into all the sweet goodies)

If anyone is struggling with shame just, please know, there is hope and you are not alone. 💖

I voted C, because I've never been officially diagnosed, but I'm certain I DO. But now I see I should've voted A, because there are some I know for certain I have. OCD no doubt and I think mild paranoia/PTSD and I might have autism/aspergers. I've never been tested, but I have many signs of it. And I also have exhibitionist and voyeur syndrome. I wouldn't be surprised if I had other stuff.

I'm curious what YOURS are. You probably won't share, but I'm curious. I think I might know ONE of them though, based on some of your posts.

Is that why you asked the question about people with mental illness having kids? You want to, but are afraid?

I think one way or the other , if you're honest with yourself that we all have something going on with all the chemicals that are food water with all the t v programs that are used to brainwashes , we all have to have something happening

So who knows, and you know, it's so easy to talk yourself into anything we all can talk ourselves into something. If we want to or we can talk ourselves out of it, but if I do I don't know about it. And if I do , my friends have said anything to me about it

My friends usually come to me for advice or to ask me , you know about something going on in their lives so yeah, if I do I don't know about it. If I do I wish somebody would tell me so I could at least think about it. Look at it because I would be honest about it. Just to fix it or try to if it is the truth

I never had anything, but when I lost my father, and then covid, I got seriously depressed ( sleeping all day, drinking, and not carng about anything). I went to my friends dad funeral 2 years ago, and I had a bad anxiety attack, I had to leave, I was shaking and my heart rate must have been over 200 a minute. After that I luckily got to see a doctor about it and I thought she would prescribe me something like Ativan. She prescribed Lexapro which is a long term medication for anxiety and depression. Long story short I took it for a year and a half and you're supposed to consult your doctor before stopping. I didn't and I haven't had an anxiety attack since.

@simslover92 I was told by a Counselor that, everyone has some bit of neurosis, although not a true "mental illnesses or disorder. I think I am as neurotic as anyone else, but that does not mean that I have an "illness or mental disorder.  You don't 'write' on this site as someone that has any kind of mental disorder or illness.

Maybe i had one in a specific time of my life, now i feel sometimes depressed and anxious but i know how to escape from these feelings and to continue moving on with my life...

What occurs in my mind sometimes, if i'll tell them to anyone, than i'll be nominated for all kind of mental disorders 🤣, but i believe that our brain as human beings shows us all kinds of things from normal to weird to strange, a complete list of everything but as humans we tend to control them and are aware what are the things that we can or can't do, things that we are able to say and things that we aren't able to say...

Our minds are like a whole menu and we pick what we want to do from the list...

So miss sims, we are all the same but what makes each individual unique is related to the options that he had chosen to do in his/her lifetime!

I don’t see mental health as something to label casually.

Like anyone, I have emotions, phases, and things I work through, that’s part of being human.

But, I’m self aware, I reflect, and I take responsibility for my growth.

I believe understanding yourself is more important than attaching a diagnosis to normal complexity.

I was clinically diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder, I have trouble with eating as well (used to suffer with anorexia. Now I think I alternate (not diagnosed though) with mild binge eating disorder and restrictive tendencies), I might have depression. I have slightly subthreshold or mild ptsd (I don't remember if I was diagnosed with it full on or it was slightly short of diagnostic criteria).
