And how does it affect your everyday life?

I have schizophrenia and before I got on the meds, I couldn't do much of anything. I couldn't work, I couldn't socialize, hell I could barely sleep because of the voices in my head every night. It was a nightmare.

Now with the meds I am like a normal person again but not many people know I have it outside of my family and boyfriend and best friend.

Anhedonia and depression, both treatment resistant. It makes me unable to feel joy or satisfaction in anything and every time I go to sleep, I pray that I don't wake up so that the endless, inescapable cycle of working, suffering, and sleeping will end.

Doctors told my mom I'd be lucky to be 18 with my respiratory condition at birth, new meds came out since then and my life expectancy is now 57 and I'm 23.

But with each day that goes by, the more I wish that doctor was right because I'm done living, I have nothing to look forward to, and it's been time to end it for a very long time

Oh my. I'm so sorry you are suffering with that. That has to be tough dealing with that. I wish there was a way to end your suffering without resorting to ending your life. Life is a very precious thing and for you to not be able to experience what life has to offer must be really hard and I'm so sorry that you can't enjoy it. I wish for you to have better days even though you feel that there aren't going to be.

@Asker I don't understand why you would make life so seem so precious and enjoyable to someone that will never experience what you said. I mean, what is so enjoyable about life? Everyone has a different life. Not everyone may have all of these things you enjoy. You must have money to enjoy life.

My life is hard. I've gone through a lot of shit. But I still see life as precious despite that. It's just my opinion but I feel like life should be appreciated no matter how tough it is. No matter how many lemons is thrown your way.
