I've always considered Sunday to be a drag. As a kid, you get up and go to church and waste close to 2 hours of your life there, if any stores ARE open, they're only open for a few hours so, there's nowhere to go. You don't get any mail. The shows on t. v. weren't all that good and most this shit they'd show was either sports or religion-based garbage! You couldn't stay up late because you had school the next day.
Most Saturdays or Sundays, we'd be taken up to our summer home to mow the lawn. As we were in the bottom of a valley, radio and t. v. were nearly impossible to get so, we had to come up with our own entertainment, the next door neighbors were NEVER home and the ones next to that were a old couple and it was a good 10:00 walk to their place. The only good parts about being there were that we had a huge yard to play bin and a creek running across the front yard. and, grandma had an ancient record player that I always loved to listen to. It was an old stand-up Edison diamond disc player and there were two drawers full of the records that could be played on it. They ran at 80 rpm and were 1/4" thick.
The only other good part about going up there was that we'd nearly always hit the penny candy store on the way up and each of us would get 25 cents worth of candy and, on the way back, we'd nearly always hit Dog & Suds and get ice cream cones.
In later years, that "nothing open/nothing to do/no place to go" ethos stuck with Sunday.

I tried placing a pillow under my lower back to make me more comfortable since my doctors always tell me to keep my chest elevated when sleeping.
But when you've done it for years, the stiffness can be annoying, so I put a pillow there. It felt good at first, but when I woke up, yeah, that was a big mistake.
Just sitting up hurts, I've tried every stretch you can think of but it only provides momentary relief which fades away the minute I stand back up. Needless to say, I won't be doing any heavy lifting until my back is okay again😞
It's usually "Sunday fun day" but I truly appreciate "Sunday rest days" too.
Sunday rest day. It was pouring, so not much to do outside.
