So I returned today to get some infusions cause I had recovered from 2 viruses in the last two months and my body was weaker now and that guy messaged me asking how I feel, I said I am back in hospital to get some infusions.

And he said “I am on my way to hospital”,

I thought he meant to see me and found it so sweet and caring, asked him not to disturb, and he said he’s coming here to see some patients, I feel awkward now that I thought he was coming to see me 😂😂

This happened to me just a few months ago. I was in the hospital and there was this girl in the room next to mine I walked past when the nurses let me take a walk (Because I was hooked up to a machine for the first few days that kept track of everything!). When the nurse finally let me walk by myself, I walked past her room and she walked out of hers and asked me if I wanted to walk down to the vending machine with her. Having a craving for a Twix bar, I walked down with her. We talked and she asked me what I was in for, and I asked her why she was there also, and the next day, she told me I seemed like an intelligent person and she said I seemed interesting, and she liked writers, so that was a plus, and she took my phone number, I took hers, and she asked me if I wanted to go out for coffee or to lunch sometime. She was really pretty and had a couple freckles under her eyes and these bright blue eyes, and dark blonde hair. She looked like a Disney Princess. Unfortunately, when I moved, I lost her number, and then my phone broke, so I lost contact with her. ::Sighs:: Ay Vay!

I was in for knee surgery and one of the nurses who looked after me gave me her number (I did not initiate—though, I was probably flirting). We dated for a while. It was not as weird as you might think.

Yeah it's pretty common with ER staff especially. You have constant reminders of your mortality you're less likely to beat around the bush and more likely to just go for it and risk rejection.

@Friendlybro79 I don’t know what you call that, I asked my friend where could I check my lungs at night, because I work tomorrow and only have time in the evening, she told me to go there, I went there, took my blood test and checked my lungs. All is great. Came home. That’s all.

Maybe this is a cultural difference. I think I remember hearing that China only has hospitals and doesn't really have a culture of smaller doctors, offices, or urgent care centers. So at least in the US, and I think in many European countries, if you go to the hospital it's because there was something serious or urgent. Or both.
