People should be more self aware. There are a lot of reasons why incest is forbidden across all religions.

Golly; you'd better tell that to the Zarathustrans; people who've been practicing dynastic inbreeding since before Judaism existed might want to know that it doesn't work. The Yazidis, too.

Or you could look at basic genetics. Inbreeding isn't some magic recipe for creating genetic failures; it's more dangerous only because recessive genes are far more likely to show up. But "recessive" doesn't mean "bad". It's true that- well, for the sake of clarity, we'll simplify and call them "dangerous" genes- that are autosomal dominant will breed themselves out, and that recessive ones won't, but unless you spend a lot of time hanging out in Pripyat, your genes don't CHANGE, so if your genetic line doesn't have anything dangerous in it, inbreeding is actually safer, from an individual baby's perspective. It's not from a species' one, or even from your own genetic lineage, since chaos is actually beneficial to that (up to a point, obviously), but if you're playing the "think of the children!" card, you need to be fair about it.

Look, the Westermarck effect exists for a reason, and I'm not going to pretend that mutagenic exposure doesn't happen (especially not since 2021), but that doesn't mean that personal distaste invalidates science.

Inbreeding is widely misunderstood it does not make it more likely that a child has mutations. It makes it more likely that a child has two identical mutations, so that it results in some health problem or birth defect.

Where this matters is Cousins are unlikely to have the identical mutation unless if they are already stemming from two parents who have such mutation but then that would be extremely unlucky or they were incest sister and brother lol.

First cousins only have a risk of 4-6% of having a child with a disability. This means that 94-96% of the time they have a healthy child. The risk for second cousins to have a child with a disability is even lower. Their risk is just a bit higher than the 3% risk that all unrelated couples have.

In reality it's not incest that causes such things it's both parties having identical mutations which granted is more common if stemmed down from people who already had it but even date a total random can get you to the same effect.
Hence why such things happen to normal couples anyway.

Them pictures look scary, but I remember from years ago that there was a movie called "It's Alive" and them fetuses from the pictures above look very similar also there are few people who I've met, and they talk with a speech defect I have a neighbor who is age 19, and you would swear she looks age 12 also she talks with a speech defect. And her mother lets her have a house full of animals, and the house they live in has no working toilet to go the bathroom in.

I had a cat named Velma, who had a kitten named Wolfy. When Velma was feeling horny one day, She had sex with Wolfy, and produced a wee baby kitten. At first, We knew not the sex, and named Her a man’s name, Fedot. Later, We realised the sex, but the kitten was all right. Not all the time incest turned out to these kind of babies, the ones in the pictures, but incest is indeed wrong. Many things can happen, but they can also happen outside of inbreeding, although I know not the likelihood.
