Will the baby just come out without me having to push or put any effort?
Is it possible to sleep through labor?

They can't give you any sleeping pills, as it is dangerous to do that. You will only receive anesthesia if you have a caesarean.
yes labour is painful but the pain is only temporary. Ask for an epidural but hope and pray it doesn't fail like mine did
Not sleep... Not really there was a thing called twilight sleep in the 1900s which was a combination of anaesthesia and pain relief so you don't remember or feel anything in the birthing process. The babies were essentially removed with forceps.
Labour can be a long process (my first took 59 hours). My partner was able to rest at certain points. But it's uncomfortable and certainly active labour would be very difficult to sleep through
Oh my goodness…59 hours? 😲😲😵 that’s like…more than 2 entire days!! Was she given an epidural? Please tell me she was…i can’t imagine her suffering for almost 3 days without an epidural.
Yes epidural, eventually. I think the first 40 odd hours were without, we were sent home from hospital at first for a very long night at home for both of us.

I slept through the majority of my last labor but it's cuz I was to tired to get up to leave for the hospital. Ended up showing up at the hospital with the baby basically falling out.
If you are wanting to avoid pain just get the epidural early on so you can rest
I know they can give you stiff to reduce pain, and that may make you sleepy
yes it can happen but risky
i dont think so
Not fair
