Women are also more likely to have depression, it's not just a case of being diagnosed, the data shows more women have depression than men.
Although as others have mentioned, male suicide rates are higher because men are more likely to act and use more extreme methods than women.

Yes, but most suicides are committed by men, so most cases of depression in women are false, women pretend to be depressed to get people's attention and get favors and/or gifts.
